1951 Ford F1 Custom Pickup It goes without saying that trucks today
are not what they used to be. With the advent of the Ford
Lightning, Chevy SS, and Dodge Rumble Bee they aren't just for
hauling anymore. That being said street rodders have known that for
years. Take a pickup from bygone days mount it on a newer chassis
with V8 power, automatic transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes, and a
modern suspension and voila! The modern muscle truck appears before
your very eyes. How'd you like to match the biggest big block Ford
ever made in terms of displacement, and have it in a small block
package that can easily fit into a Mustang, Cobra or most any
FoMoCo vehicle. It's all possible because of World's new Man O'
War block, which can accommodate the 4.155" x 4.250" bore/stroke
combination that produces a whopping 460 cubic inches.
Conservatively rated at 600 horsepower, 575 foot pounds of torque,
this big-inch engine utilizes a high flowing single plane intake
manifold, 1050 cfm "Dominator" carburetor and a roller lifter cam
for more aggressive valve action. All that, and a nominal
compression ratio of 10.0:1 so you can run on ordinary pump gas.
Needless to say, this kind of major league power translates into
one awesome ride! These engines are individually assembled by
skilled technicians using only the finest aftermarket components.
Each engine is carefully broken-in, then run on the dyno to certify
that performance levels meet or exceed published specifications.
And as a testimony to their durability. You won't find anything
like this from the "blue oval" boys! This pickup has that engine
and this fine example is a testament to that skill and technology.
Using a rack and pinion FAT MAN front suspension and Ididit chrome
tilt steering column this V8 is mated to a newer overdrive
automatic transmission. This fine example from a Washington state
collector gives all the attributes of a fast, fun to drive and fun
to look at, pick up without having to do the heavy lifting to get
it there. Come on and enjoy this hauler today for dimes on the
dollar. Features Powered by a world products all newer 600 hp small
