Vehicle Description
Jeep fans know the 2003 Wrangler Rubicon is a special vehicle. This
was the debut year for this now famously rugged off-road package,
and this is a one-owner Jeep. And it celebrates the debut correctly
with big investment to make sure this 4x4 looks bolder and can go
further. Best of all, they also made sure to keep the features that
make the modern Jeep so desirable.
This one was built to stand out in all the best ways. It starts
with the paint. No one is going to forget seeing the 4x4 with one
of the coolest paint themes we've seen in quite a while. It was a
full repaint where the white serves as a clean canvas for the
orange, blue, and purple feathered flames. There are even cool
details, like the airbrushed Rubicon name on the sides, plenty of
pinstriping, and the Jeep stamping in the front fenders now a small
mural. It's quite striking, and we're actually happy to say that
it's far from perfect. Because the overall idea here is a memorable
custom that's also a truly useful Jeep. So the odometer is believed
to represent the full mileage and the this 4x4 wears some battle
scars from Mother Nature - that's what a true Rubicon is supposed
to have. Standing out also means being the first one on the trail,
and so there has been a solid investment in all the right equipment
to lead the way. It starts with a Warn 9.5ti up front. This is
mounted on a Smittybilt front bumper with a bull bar, tow hooks,
and IPF lights. The Smittybilt rear bumper has a tow hitch and
swing-away mount for the full-size spare. There are also KC lights
at the windshield, Smittybilt rock rails, removable side steps, and
bright American Racing ATX 16-inch wheels that really show off the
lifted stance.
This Wrangler comes with a full soft top, glass windows in the
doors and a bikini top, but of course, the most fun is with no top
at all. It really shows off all the extra investment in a serious
off-road machine. The front now has Corbeau XRS reclining
suspension seats. The rear has been turned into a full off-road
ready area with a CO2 inflator kit, tool kit, ARB recovery rope,
fire extinguisher, and room for all your other gear on the bugged
rubber floor mat. There's even a tow bar and bike rack that comes
with the sale. And beyond upgrades, you also have one of the most
modern Jeep interiors around. That means lockable half doors and a
full roll cage. Plus, you have the best in modern features right
from the factory. This includes a tilt steering column, a full
gauge package, dual airbags, anti-lock brakes, and cold-blowing air
conditioning. The radio is even upgraded to an AM/FM/CD stereo with
aux input and marine-grade speakers.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was a Jeep mainstay for many years. It's a
hardy motor that loves upgrades. So you have some nice additions,
like the Edge products programmer for the modern fuel-injected
setup. It also inhales better with the Turbo City Rock-It Parts
intake, and it exhales with added power thanks to the stainless
steel header-fed high-performance exhaust. We're sure you instantly
noticed the extra ground clearance on this 4x4, and that's courtesy
of investments in stout off-road equipment. This includes the Atlas
2 transfer case, Belly Up skid plate Dana 44 axles (with 4:88 gears
for good low-end power), air locker diffs, manual locking Warn
hubs, 4" Teraflex long control arms, remote reservoir shocks, slip
yoke eliminator, an Old Man Emu steering stabilizer, and 35" Pro
Comp Xtreme MT tires. But when you just want to look like the
toughest machine rolling through town, the power steering,
four-wheel power disc brakes, and the control of a five-speed
manual transmission make this mean machine an easy cruiser.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker, owner's
manual packet, service manuals, and two sets of keys. So it has the
right paperwork you want in a one-owner vehicle. This is the
first-year Rubicon that has an awesome level of style and
capability to really live up to the best in a 4x4 lifestyle. Call
