Vehicle Description
This is the cool classic hardtop with some desirable cruiser and
performance secrets. And as you dig into all the details on this
restored 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Victoria, you'll also discover
all the best upgrades, including a five-speed stick and cold
A/C.
This car is quite striking from the first impression, and it's no
accident. This was restored with an eye for a sleeker machine. They
shaved the door handles and eliminated the badging. It helps to
really draw added attention to the two largest pieces of remaining
trim: the Fairlane's sweeping side design and the brightwork
surrounding the desirable pillarless hardtop. Of course, they also
kept the chrome bumpers and grille, and these are joined by the
shine of 17-inch polished alloys borrowed from a later Mustang
(hinting at the upgrades within.) The black paint has a terrific
gloss, and that seems to highlight some great stock features like
the sleek fender skirts and headlights that look almost Frenched
from the factory. The restoration was finished around the early
2000s, but the condition today tells you they paid for lasting
quality and treated it with true respect.
The interior does a good job of blending vintage and modern. The
upholstery has a stock style look with white vinyl and comfy black
inserts. The door panels and dash are also done in a matching
two-tone. It all has the feel of a function car that was made to
drive. That usable impression also has to do with the upgrades. You
have cold-blowing air conditioning, cup holders, and an AM/FM/CD
stereo w/USB input for your smartphone. The AutoGage tach,
auxiliary readout trio, and B&M floor shifter make this a
better driver's coupe. And while this has all the right additions,
they kept the vintage steering wheel with Ford Family crest at the
center to remind you this is still a classic.
More of this vintage but upgraded feeling comes from the engine
bay. You have Ford's Y-block V8 topped with a four-barrel
carburetor. While this is an era-correct powerhouse that was great
in cars like this Victoria and the Thunderbird, the desirability up
a notch here. Originally, there was never the kind of control you
get from the Tremec five-speed manual transmission upgrade that you
now have in this one. So the V8 fires up with a great sound out of
the glasspack dual exhaust, and you have the kind of ratios to
better explore the full power band. Plus, front disc brakes and
modern sport tires give you a more confident feeling on the road,
too.
This is the sleek classic with a ton of upgraded driving appeal. So
if you like standing out in all the best ways, don't miss this
coupe. Call today!!!
