Vehicle Description
This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air is built to go as well as show with
proven hardware combined with enhanced technology. Fully restored,
the Bel Air received a thorough nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration
and is powered by a 502ci Ram Jet big-block Chevrolet V8 engine.
Topped with a simple air cleaner and a chromed GM Performance Parts
intake, the V8 features Street & Performance fuel injection,
lightweight aluminum heads and chromed Chevrolet valve covers with
billet breathers. Additionally, the engine has loomed Taylor wires,
a March Ultra Drive system, polished Edelbrock water pump, polished
alternator and a polished air conditioning compressor. Cooling is
through an aluminum radiator with two SPAL puller fans and a
polished expansion tank. Spent gasses exit via coated long-tube
headers and a polished stainless exhaust with Borla ProXS mufflers.
The engine bay has been smoothed and finished to mirror the
bodywork and sports chromed hinges as well as a custom closeout
panel. The Bel Air rides on an Art Morrison GT Sport chassis
painted in Metallic Silver. For suspension, the Chevy has polished
spindles, polished control arms, polished sway bars and adjustable
Aldan coilovers. A TREMEC TKO 600 5-speed transmission sits on a
polished crossmember and spins a polished aluminum driveshaft as
well as a smoothed and painted Ford 9-inch rear end that's built
with a posi-traction differential and sporty 3.70 gears. The Bel
Air has power rack & pinion steering and features a set of Wilwood
brake calipers clamping down on drilled and slotted rotors.
Additional features include a mirrored stainless fuel tank and
245/40ZR18 BFGoodrich g-Force T/As in the front and 275/35ZR20
BFGoodrich g-Force T/As in the rear.
