Vehicle Description
Completed in October 2020, this frame-off restored 1965 Corvette
Resto-Mod is powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine rated at 430hp
and matched to a 4L60E automatic transmission with a Dana 36 rear
axle. Spent gasses exit via a dual exhaust system with BadlanzHPE
exhaust cutouts to adjust the flow. The custom convertible features
RideTech front and rear suspension, as well as a RideTech Tru Turn
steering system. Other features include Vintage Air, power
steering, Wilwood disc brakes, power windows and an AM/FM Bluetooth
radio by Antique Automobile Radio Inc. Inside, the Corvette has a
programmable instrument cluster by Intellitronix that replicates
the factory 1965 look, as well as a new factory replica electric
clock. The rear quarters have been widened 1.5 inches, and the
'Vette rides on 245/45R17 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. The
L88 Stinger hood, the side fiberglass exhaust covers and the
black-painted ZR1 spoke patterned wheels have red accents to
complement the stunning "Blue My Mind" blue exterior paint. The
custom interior is black leather with red stitching on the dash
pads, doors, console, visors and seats with custom removable
headrests. The new convertible top is navy, as is the custom-fitted
carpeting. The shifter boot is made to look like a standard
transmission shifter and a special utility tray behind the seats
keeps small items from shifting around while blasting the corners.
Highly documented, the build was photographed during restoration
and all receipts and manuals are included in the sale.
