Vehicle Description
Family-owned since the late 1960s and driven occasionally. It was
parked in a new four-car garage in 1971, where it sat for 43 years
until retrieved in 2014 to begin a full body-off restoration. It
was then restored and upgraded with a new crate 350ci V8 Chevrolet
small-block mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and upgraded
with an Edelbrock aluminum manifold and Edelbrock electronic
fuel-injection. Additional upgrades include rack & pinion power
steering, front disc brakes, Vintage Air climate control and new
components to make it drive more comfortably. The rest of the car
was made to look as it did in 1959, in the original Frost Blue
paint with white inserts and steel wheels with hubcaps. To add
contrast, the seats were upholstered in white leather and a white
convertible soft-top was installed. Additionally, the restored
original hardtop shell is included, as are photographs documenting
the restoration process. Always garage-kept and covered until
driven.
