Vehicle Description
"The Distinctive Personal Car for Americans on the GO" was the ad
slogan used by Buick for the GS California Edition. The car was
offered in 1969 with either the 350 Cubic Inch V8 or the 400 V8.
The Gran Sport name has been used on several high performance cars
built by Buick. An interesting fact Buick has only been surpassed
in luxury and comfort by Cadillac which did not have a performance
model. As a result, the GS was the most opulently equipped sports
models of the era. This particular stunning white over blue GS
California GR Auto Gallery of TC is excited to represent has had
just three owners since new. The first owner having the car in
California from 1968 through 1995, after that the car being sold to
a local northern MI community college auto shop professor and then
sold again to the current owner in 2013. There are several records
and receipts dating back to the early 1990's. I also know that the
car was repainted by the second owner, this was a body on frame
re-paint. The paint looks very good still as does the trim. There
is a little surface rust starting on the underside of the car and
factory wheels but body panels are good. This is a really cool car
with air induction hood, factory fitted A/C and a nicely running
280 HP 350 small block V8. The interior appears to be original and
is all in tact. This car starts, runs and drives really well and I
love the paint to match bumpers.
