mileage, ultra-clean, 1983 Oldsmobile Toronado in excellent
condition. This is a true time capsule that was meticulously
maintained and well cared for since day one by its original owner,
spending it's life in sunny Arizona. These luxury coupes were state
of the art back in '83, offering the latest technology with comfort
and styling. This example is a rare find in its original condition,
free of rust and never in an accident.
Here is a great opportunity to own one of the finest examples of an
all original 1983 Toronado in the country. The exterior is free
from any dents, blemishes or rust - the chrome bumpers and
stainless trim are in excellent condition, and the factory paint
still has a gloss-like finish. The glass is all clear with no
scratches, and the padded Landau top is pristine.
The all-original interior is in excellent condition and is designed
for luxurious comfort and convenience. Pillow top velour upholstery
covers split-bench style seats both front and rear with the
driver's seat adjustments made by the 6-way power controls. The
plush, factory installed carpet looks great and is protected by
optional carpet floormats with virtually no wear. The color matched
dash is like new, there are no cracks in the dash pad, all of the
chrome sparkles, and lenses are crystal clear. The door panels are
in great shape with minor one imperfection on the driver's door arm
rest. Additional options include, "Tempmatic" climate control,
cruise control, power windows and locks, lighted vanity mirror,
"Twilight Sentinel" lights, with side window and rear window
defogger.
Under the hood you will find the dependable 5.0L 307cid V8 engine
topped with a 4-barrel carburetor, factory rated at 140 hp with 240
ft lbs of torque delivering 16 mpg in the city with an impressive
27 mpg cruising down the highway. These engines are very smooth and
quiet at all speeds while powering this full size, luxury cruiser,
surprising well.
Suspension is state of the art 4 wheel independent, providing an
exceptionally smooth ride with predictable cornering thanks to the
large front sway bar, and features GM's electronic leveling system
that came standard from Oldsmobile. Factory 15" steel wheels wear
wire-wheel hub caps with center-locks, wrapped with 205/75/15
Goodyear white-wall radial tires on all 4 corners.
