For Sale: 1925 Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup in Groveland, California
This Model T was bought new in Oregon and stayed there until recent
years when it was bought by a man in the far upper reaches of
northeastern California. He did this elaborate build with a high
degree of craftmanship. This is not a fiberglass kit car and is
titled as a 1925 (with historic documentation shown in the
photos). It has a GM 305 CID V8 (under 5k miles since rebuild), plus
the following new pieces: 4 tires and wheels, Summit Racing
4-Barrel Carburetor, dual-point ignition, mild cam, Edelbrock
Manifold, 3-speed automatic with overdrive, power steering,
starter, fuel pump, and dual exhausts with cut-offs. This hot rod
has been driven less 1,500 miles since the build and the paint and
overall appearance is top notch - but for a very few minor paint
runs. This T Hot Rod sounds awesome, the suspension is quite good,
and it drives and rides perfectly. The color of this rod is truly
attention-getting, and we wonder if the famous 1931 Ford Purple
People Eater Hot Rod Drag Racer wasn't the inspiration (see a photo
of it at the end of the photos). We offer this one-of-a-kind beauty
for $25,900. The car is garaged in Stockton, CA.Disclaimer: we are
not experts on builds of this type, so we consulted with a couple
people who are. After studying the photos this is a summary of
their comments: Excellent build quality with no expense spared.
Mustang II coil spring front suspension, likely Ford brake
calipers, a later GM motor, 125 amp alternator, big starter, GM
tilt steering column, probably 8 Ford rear end, boxed frame, and
Stewart Werner gauges. If the front end of the car is not to a
buyer's liking someone with some talent could in a weekend totally
change the appearance with these catalog
