Real GTS with #s matching 340. Rare air conditioning (blows cold),
bucket seats and console. A Mopar collector had this restored to
factory new. We have pictures of it stripped down to a bare
shell.
EXTERIOR: The body is outstanding. It is absolutely straight, all
the gaps are precise. New hinge assemblies. There is no rust or
damage. Repainted it's original silver metallic color which is laid
out evenly. The clear coat is a very smooth and glossy. Correctly
applied bumblebee stripes around the tail. New vinyl top. Up front
the bumper is rechromed, the grill is in excellent shape. The
remote mirror and door handles look new. The stainless trim is
shiny and straight. In back the bumper is rechromed, new taillight
bezels are new, the tail panel is in real nice shape. It's 14 inch
rims are painted silver, have poverty caps and reproduction red
line tires. The door jambs are painted real slick, the weather
strips have been replaced. New windshield.
INTERIOR: Down on the floor is new carpet and embroidered floor
mats. It has very desirable bucket seats with a console. New
upholstery and cushions. The seat belts front and back are in
excellent shape. The center console is a good original. The dash
area is mint. The bezels, knobs, lenses are all real clean. All the
gauges were rebuilt. New glovebox liner. The headliner is new, fits
tight as a drum. $950 was spent converting the original radio to an
FM stereo with auxiliary plug.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching 340 with stock manifolds, valve
covers and air cleaner. Professionally rebuilt, balanced and dyno
tuned, it comes with receipt. There is an Edelbrock on it now that
runs perfect. The extremely rare original carburetor was
professionally restored and comes with it. The carb is specific to
a 1968 340 with a/c. It features power steering and factory air
conditioning system that is ice cold. Newer compressor, dryer,
updated with R134 freon. Rebuilt radiator, new clutch fan, shroud
and cap. All the components look proper and clean. It has a horns,
squirters are hooked up, has hood insulation. It even has a
reproduction Mopar battery bolted down properly. The fender tag is
attached, the numbers on the core support match the fender tag. The
engine bay is painted smooth metallic silver.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal painted silver. It has a jack
assembly mounted properly. There is a spare underneath the new
rubber mat. New seat insulation, weather strip and sticker. Bottom
of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy.
UNDERSIDE: It's restored like new under this car. All clean metal.
The floors, frame rails and braces are rock solid. I don't see any
any patches. It's been prepped and sprayed silver. Heavy duty
suspension. The front end is completely is rebuilt. New bushings,
shocks, ball joints, steering components etc. Rebuilt steering box.
The fuel tank, straps, sending unit and fuel lines were replaced.
It has a correct dual exhaust system from Accurate Exhaust with the
correct chrome tips. Brakes were redone, it has disc in front,
e-brake assembly is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it's fresh,
starter is rebuilt. It has a correct 727 Torque Flite automatic.
Rebuilt drive shaft and u-joints were replaced. It has 3.23 gears
in the 8 3/4 rear.
I bought this car from a very, very meticulous collector. His cars
are always dialed in, looking great and functioning great. The new
owner will be very pleased. Rare and desirable, high quality muscle
car.
