This classic "parts truck" style 1954 GMC 100 pickup is now
available from the MAXmotive Pittsburgh Showroom. It hails from
Arizona and sports its original all-steel body. Its aged appearance
belies the new underpinnings such as a GM Performance 350ci/300hp
small block V8 with Holley's Sniper Fuel Injection system and a
Holley electric fuel pump. You'll like the performance sound
through the dual exhaust system with just the right amount of cam
lope. A 1989 Camaro 700R4 automatic with overdrive is the perfect
teammate to an '81 Camaro rear with 3.73 gears and an Eaton posi
unit. The brakes are updated too. You'll find a Wilwood master
cylinder and power booster under the hood, discs up front, and new
Raybestos finned rear drums. New front and rear springs with a
2-inch drop give the truck a little hot rod attitude, as does the
hand-applied pinstriping. Another key upgrade is the wiring, which
is handled by a New American Autowire 14 kit. Reliable Stewart
Warner gauges monitor speed, RPMs, voltage, oil pressure, water
temperature, and fuel level. Coker Classic whitewall radials
preserve the vintage vibe, but offer optimum ride and handling
characteristics making the truck even more fun to drive. This solid
1954 GMC 100 Pickup features an original all-steel cab and bed with
a cool patina, and some smart upgrades for added driveability. See
