Treated to a comprehensive restoration just completed in March of
2020, you might call this 1966 Ford Mustang GT Fastback the
"everything car." It's everything you could want in a first
generation Mustang. The highly respected Hi-po 271 horsepower 289
is here and the engine compartment is restored to such a high level
that you can spend hours taking in all the details. It's filled
with messages such as "designed expressly for use in vehicles built
by Ford Motor Company" on the oil filter hinting at the thought and
care that went into the restoration. It sports the GT equipment
group along with that beautiful Rally Pac. It consists of a pair of
pods on either side of the steering column with a watchmaker-like
clock and a simply beautiful and wonderfully unique tachometer. It
has the rally dash with the round 140mph speedometer and full gauge
package. The C42E-7A040 code 4-speed manual transmission operates
via the console-mounted factory shifter. The ultimate drivetrain
includes the 9-inch rear axle as well. Front disc brakes, not all
that common in mid-sixties cars, round out a great performance
package. Mustangs were sold in great quantities during the first
two years of production, but a highly optioned GT Fastback was a
special car, and it has been treated that way ever since. The
original door tag with the proper rivets is present as well. The
detail and quality of the restoration, in addition to the starting
point being what it is, make this 1966 Ford Mustang GT Fastback a
true standout. ********** DISCLAIMER MAXmotive specializes in
