Vehicle Description
This 1989 Chevrolet C1500 Restomod has the paint and body of a full
custom build, and so we're glad that the details don't disappoint.
You may pick up on some Corvette themes on the outside, and that
gets you ready for a Corvette interior and LS3 power under the
hood. Oh yeah... this is the sports car of pickups.
There's a full thoughtful style to this build, and it starts with
the paint. Silver and blue are two terrific complementing colors,
especially when they are united by a nice metallic luster. You'll
love to see the quality of the full presentation that even
continues in the door jambs, and it all has the clean look of a
low-mileage build. And even the custom strobe stripe that tapers
along the body is a detailed custom piece. There's an added
sleekness to this build with the custom grille, color-matched front
bumper, deleted trim, and smooth rear end with license plate
frenched into the tailgate. And not only does the paint have plenty
of shine, but so do details like the crystal clear headlights and
the polished Budnik wheels that are staggered 18/20 inches
front/rear for an aggressive stance. It's a full custom style, but
they also gave it a touch of vintage flair with the real wood laid
down for the truck bed floor. But the unique pieces we like the
best are pure Corvette. The hood vents are inspired by the C7
Stingray. The recessed door handles have defined the modern era of
Corvettes. And the custom roll pan has the C7 Z06 tail lights and
makes room for the large quad exhaust tips.
Nothing about the interior is stock. It's a full Corvette theme
done in a bold blue style. It's a presentation that overwhelms with
its vibrant appearance, but don't forget to recognize the
thoughtful details. For example, those bucket seats certainly look
Corvette-worthy. And while the blue upholstery looks awesome, the
gray contrast stitching means these follow the exterior's color
theme. The door panels and armrest are even done to match. The
center console looks expertly adapted from the C6, and the
flat-bottom steering wheel is a great C7 Z06 piece. But it's not
just the Corvette elements that impress. This is a loaded pickup
with all the best features. It includes cold-blowing air
conditioning, power windows, power locks, an alarm, and an AM/FM
touchscreen infotainment system w/Bluetooth. Plus, a power driver's
seat, tilt steering column, power steering, and a full upgraded
gauge package make sure you get in the ideal position for a sports
car/truck.
The reason for the full Corvette theme inside and out is because of
what's under the hood. It's a fuel-injected 6.2-liter LS3. This is
a crate motor where the low mileage on the odometer represents
approx what's on this V8. But the engine covers want to remind you
that these were good for a whopping 430 horsepower in the C6
Corvette! It also was built with the right supporting pieces, like
a serpentine belt system, electric fans, and a new alternator was
added in 2021. The Corvette's stout 6L80 six-speed automatic
transmission was also added so that you have good ratios to handle
the full power. And because this is a more confident driving truck
you also have four-wheel power disc brakes and the grip of modern
sport tires.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and maintenance
records. This is the kind of full custom build that you love at
first sight but it might be gone before a second glance. So don't
