For Sale: 1951 Chevrolet 3100 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

In a perfect world, we could all enjoy unabashedly vintage toys without fear of mechanical issues, cost or some freak accident ruining a prized possession. Unfortunately, that's not reality, and most classics integrate a fair amount of late-model hardware to increase both safety and reliability. Take this handsome Chevy, for example. Wrapping tasteful aesthetics around proven small block power, this cool slice of timeless Americana is a great driver that mixes hot performance with great style. And if you're looking for an old school ride with a bit of muscle car flare, it's your ticket to endless fun!

LIKE A FINE WINE

Fully sorted and ready to rock and roll, this polished pickup is the beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration that, completed in late 2019 by a small shop in Missouri, mixes head-turning poise with proven athleticism. All that lovable charm sealed fully stripped metal in rich House Of Kolor Shimrin Brandywine Kandy flash. And today, the truck rolls as unique but familiar street rod art that's easy to live with and even easier to look at!

The exhibit kicks off with a polished bumper, which guards a polished and black-trimmed grille that centers clear parking lamps between subtle LED headlights. A "CHEVROLET" branded bonnet, pointed with flashy stainless, fronts a filled cowl and polished wipers. Those blades clear a smoked greenhouse under a big Fulton visor and a duo polished mirrors. Factory door handles join bowtie-branded running boards to lead custom wheel tubs at the sides of nicely textured wood. And at the back of that bed, a massaged tailgate shades a custom roll pan and custom LED taillights between billet rail plugs.

POWER FOR THE AGES

Pop the hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of proven Chevy small block that looks good and runs great! A retro air cleaner tops electronic FiTech Go Street fuel injection that makes hard starts and annoying carburetor coughs a thing of the past. That system feeds a spry Edelbrock Performer EPS intake, which looks great between polished breathers and finned valve covers. The fires get lit by a hot HEI distributor, which sparks carefully loomed plug wires. Spent gases fall through old school exhaust manifolds. At the front of those tubes, billet pulleys spin a coated AC compressor over a polished alternator, polished power steering and a polished water pump. At the front of those ancillaries, a lightweight Champion radiator pairs a polished expansion tank with a large electric puller fan. And the iron mill looks great amid choice details like a smoothed firewall and a full Hyperfuel Command Center.

GO TO MATCH THE SHOW

Slide beneath this rig and you'll find a clean, road ready undercarriage that's founded on a thoughtfully modified chassis. At the front of those boxed bones, a trusty Mustang II-style suspension frames modern power rack-and-pinion steering. Opposite that clip, a proven 10-bolt axle pushes a triangulated 4-bar rear-half. That pumpkin twists thanks to a dressed 700R4 4-speed. Momentum gets countered by a floor-mount brake booster, which pushes power to four vented discs. Big Flowmaster mufflers roar through polished, side-exit tips. The FiTech system drains a relocated and custom-fabricated fuel tank. And this Chevy's lowered stance is greatly complemented by chromed US Mags Ramblers, which spin 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 275/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As.

COOL IN CONTRAST

Between the doors, a custom-upholstered split bench seat stretches sweet Black and Saddle vinyl around a comfy, reclining frame. A Jet Black dash hangs tasteful Omega Kustom telemetry next to Vintage Air conditioning and touchscreen Pioneer audio that's complete with USB ports and a crisp backup camera. Plush cut-pile carpet props tidy cupholders behind a billet accelerator pedal, tough mats and a long Lokar shifter. Custom Black and Saddle door panels frame traditional handles. And the driver spins a stylish Forever Sharp Black Muscle steering wheel around a polished, tilting column.

Polished, sorted and ready to roll, this pickup is primed for years of enjoyment. It's the perfect buy for any enthusiast who wants to live vintage while staying grounded in drivability. Ready to upgrade your weekend transportation? Don't miss this opportunity to experience a fresh spin on the traditional favorite!
