The SVT Terminator Cobra was completely redesigned for 2003. it was
intended to come to the market to give customers everything they've
wanted out of a Mustang. The convertible version came in at a MSRP
of $38,995 and the coupe at just $34,750. This truly was the best
bang for your buck for a high performance muscle car of the early
2000 era! From forged internals to handle the stock Eaton blower on
top with no problems, all the way to the all new independent rear
suspension, SVT truly knocked this Cobra out of the park.
EXTERIOR: This Cobra is painted in Zinc Yellow with a black soft
top. This was the iconic color combo and style that was used to
advertise the Cobra when it initially came out. This is a 1 owner
car and has been stored in a garage all its life - taken out only
on nice days. The paint is in fantastic shape but there are a
couple small light scratches or stone chips around the entire
thing. The black soft top is in excellent shape with no wear. The
black housing headlights look like new. This has chrome SVT Cobra
wheels that are in excellent shape; they are staggered and have
recently new NITTO tires installed - 275's up front and a whopping
315's in the rear! This is one of the most appealing Cobra body
styles made to date.
INTERIOR: Also in excellent shape, the interior smells like new and
looks to be that way as well. The seats are in great shape as well.
It has unique features specific to the Cobra like the SVT white
face gauges, boost gauge, leather and suede two tone seats with
Cobra emblems stitched in. You also get a power convertible top,
power windows, power mirrors, and power locks. In the center of the
dash, you'll find a premium sound system with a 6 disc cd changer.
Right in front of that is the 6 speed shifter sticking out of the
floor!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This car was fully detailed before it came in,
even the engine bay! Everything is very clean and like new in
appearance. New for the Cobra was the 4.6L 390 HP V8, newly
designed heads with new profiles, new port contours, iron block
with Manley rods, and dished pistons. The most impressive addition
was the Eaton supercharger from the factory!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Even being a convertible, the trunk has plenty
of space in it. It is fully carpeted and has an additional cargo
net and a spare tire underneath. You'll also find a spare front
license plate bracket that has not been installed yet. Everything
is in excellent shape and appears to be in like new condition.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath is in great shape as well and you can tell by
the conditions this was never driven in harsh elements. There's
still factory markings on suspension components. The stainless
exhaust is still shiny and not super discolored, and the shocks
have their bright yellow paint. Ford fully redesigned the
suspension for the 2003 Cobra including a new subframe, new
bushings, new spring rates, independent suspension, bilstein
shocks, and performance brakes - not only making this thing the
fastest mustang but also the best handling one for its time!
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am
offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen
are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your
questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a
walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
