13,701 actual miles. Excellent original survivor. Owned by a farmer
that put only a couple miles on it at a time. He eventually went
into an assisted living home and sold the car to someone else
living in assisted living. Needless to say he didn't drive it much
either.
EXTERIOR: It's as long as a football field and you can look down
both sides and there is not a dent, damage or rust. The Dove Gray
paint is believed to be all original and it shows really well,
especially for a survivor car. Of course if you look for flaws
there are some minor ones. The factory white pinstripe is not
polished off. The Valino padded top is very nice but pulled away
slightly from the rear trim. Overall the chrome and trim is
straight and shiny. The Michelin tires were replaced. The jambs are
clean, weatherstrips are still soft. Exterior features include the
opera windows, hideaway lights with auto dimmer, outside
thermometer, intermittent wipers, illuminated entry, heated mirror
and premium side moldings.
INTERIOR: A living room on wheels! Big poofy leather upholstery is
very comfortable. Every thing is in excellent shape. The leather,
door panels and carpet look great. All the trim, bezels, knobs,
vents are excellent. The headliner and visors are excellent.
Features include lighted vanity mirrors, full power accessories
including driver and passenger seats, tilt wheel, FM stereo,
defroster group, light group and more. The owner's manual is in the
glovebox.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The motor is a smooth running 400. It looks
just like it did at the factory. It still has 1979 dated sparkplug
wires. The stickers and factory markings are still showing. The
duct work all still attached to the air cleaner assembly. The smog
equipment is hooked up. It has power steering, power brakes and air
conditioning.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Giant trunk opens with the power trunk release.
It has the wall to wall gray carpet liner in excellent shape. The
spare tire has never been used. The jack assembly is still in
place. The trunk light works. There are still ink stamps from the
factory.
UNDERSIDE: Very well preserved original under this car. The exhaust
has twin catalytic converters, new muffler and tail pipe. The
chassis components look to be proper and mostly original. Looking
up at the motor it's clean, fuel pump and lower radiator hose have
been replaced. It has a C-6 heavy duty automatic transmission. It
has disc brakes in front.
This is the last of the Lincoln land yachts. They will never make
cars like this again. Here is a chance to own one of the most
original survivors left.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
