Vehicle Description
This 1971 Chevrolet C10 restomod has been given investments in all
the right places. Bold/slick paint, a leather-lined A/C interior,
overdrive transmission, and a small block V8 with the displacement
and power to out-gun the big block. It all makes for a fully
restored truck with the kind of style and substance combo that's
great to have from the first moment you get behind the wheel.
Torch red on this truck is borrowed from a fifth-gen Corvette. It's
a bold shade that's the right way to announce a fully-built custom
like this. The truck was given a full body-off restoration around
2001, and it has been treated with top care ever since. In fact,
with less than 5,200 miles on the build, you know it has spent most
of its time protected in the garage. So the vibrant Vette red has a
good gloss that loves to show off the crisp lines. It also gives
this an intimidating look that goes with the big power bulge of the
upgraded cowl hood. Plus those 20-inch US Mags wheels give this a
great power pickup stance. But while this one uses a ton of flair
to be impressive (just look at the mirror-like bumpers,) don't
forget to see the value in the details. Everywhere from the newer
seals to the gel-coated bed are about long-lasting quality.
The interior is a fully upgraded package, but it still loves to
give you the right hints of vintage. For example, the gray color
has a modern feel to it, but the fresh door panels still keep the
classic C10 Cheyenne western-style pattern. The seat is borrowed
from a later model Silverado. So you have a premium leather setup
that gives you the option of sitting three across or you can fold
down the center seat for a center console and bucket-like
individual comfort. Fresh carpeting a smooth dash pad, and clean
fundamentals make this quite inviting. There are worthwhile
upgrades like power windows, shoulder seatbelts, an AM/FM/cassette
stereo, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. It's also a
well-done driver's package with a Lecarra sports steering wheel, a
tilt column, and full readouts with Camaro-style tach.
The engine bay has a tidy and thoughtful presentation that loves to
show off a proper V8 powerhouse. It looks amazing with smooth
color-matched inner walls and plenty of polished components. Plus,
having the engine block, alternator, compressor, brake booster, and
more color-matched in red is an award-worthy touch. But more than
just look awesome, this is a V8 built for power. This 400
cubic-inch V8 was bored .30 over (406ci total) to give you a big
block displacement in a small block weight. It was also fully built
during the restoration to include LT-1 cylinder heads, a Stage II
performance hydraulic camshaft, an upgraded polished intake, and
topped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. A nice set of
headers add power and rumble as they feed the dual exhaust and
Flowmaster mufflers. You'll spot good supporting components, like
an HEI ignition, steel braided lines, and a large aluminum
radiator. The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission was given a
full service within the last few months. So it's ready for both
power drives and easy overdrive cruising. Add in power steering,
power brakes w/discs up front, and the C10's trailing arm rear
suspension, and this powerful pickup is also a solid driver.
The sale comes with terrific paperwork. This includes the factory

terrific power. It all makes for a red-hot custom you know you need
