Vehicle Description
Great colors, great upgrades (including overdrive), and a great
deal of power for the larger big block V8 make this 1967 Chevrolet
Chevelle Malibu SS tribute a powerful hardtop with a great amount
of appeal.
Butternut Yellow is a great factory color on a Chevelle like this.
It seems to represent its era correctly in a bright and distinct
way. Plus, it makes for a nice contrasting backdrop to the premium
dark elements like the well-fitting black vinyl roof, and the
full-length pinstripe that highlights how well the door fit. The
Super Sport badging, hood vent trim, and pillar-less hardtop
profile are all part of that ideal muscle car look. Fresh chrome
bumpers and upgraded polished Coys wheels add plenty of shining
charm, but there's nothing too overdone so that you're afraid to be
the first to break in fresh asphalt with this big block
cruiser.
For the same reason why we like the black accenting against the
yellow exterior is why we love the factory-correct full black
interior. And not only does this have the ideal color combo, but
also you can tell they made some solid investments in keeping it a
comfortable machine. There's a smooth dash, nice door panels, and
newer carpeting. There are even nice details, like newer brightwork
on the dash and a working dome light. The heater controls even show
this was a factory A/C car (it will need components and servicing
to return the function.) And this was made to be a driver's car
with upgraded ProCar front bucket seats with a center console
in-between. So you can just imagine the grip of the steering wheel
and the feeling of the breeze rolling through this hardtop.
Filling the engine bay is big block Chevy power. You'll love how
the bold block, bright valve covers, and matching air topper look
like they are radiating power from within the dark engine bay. In
fact, the callouts are doing a bit of fibbing, because you actually
have a LARGER 454 cubic-inch V8. It inhales deeply with an
Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with power and
authority with long tube headers. It's even supported by the right
pieces, like a serpentine belt kit, an electric fan, and a newer
aluminum radiator. The big block fires up eagerly, and its rumble
of the dual exhaust makes this sound like a mild cam motor. This is
a solid driver that you get to experience better thanks to the
upgrade to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with
highway-friendly overdrive. As you look all over this coupe, you'll
spot even more great driving features, like upgraded rear arms,
power steering, power brakes, drilled & slotted front discs, and
the grip of modern sport tires.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, original warranty
card, and build receipts. This is the ideal mix of vintage and
upgraded you want on a true big block cruising classic. Call
