For Sale: 1966 Dodge Coronet in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Original unrestored survivor with only 35,463 actual miles! Very desirable red/red, factory air conditioning, bucket seats, console and a 383 big block. We have original buyer's order from Jack Spillers Dodge in Georgia, original Georgia certificate of title and notarized bill of sale from 1998 that states 31,148 actual miles. The original owner passed away and his widow hung on to the car not using it. She eventually sold the car to a woman that kept it until 1998. A collector in Minnesota bought the car and kept the miles real low.

EXTERIOR: Zero rust, all original body panels. The gaps are square and flush. The doors shut like new. It still has it's original paint bright red. It still shows great. Of course there are some touch ups and minor imperfections. All of the chrome and trim is original and shows great for original. It has optional bumper guards. The 14 inch magnum wheels are in excellent shape with newer radial tires. All the original glass is crystal clear. The white vinyl top practically looks new. The jambs are clean. The weather strips are original and still in good shape.

INTERIOR: I am amazed sitting inside this car. It is about as brand new as I have seen and it's all original! It is also exciting being red and having bucket seats and a console. The carpet looks like new. The upholstery is pristine. The door panels are mint, headliner and visors are excellent. All of the interior lights work. It's the nicest original Mopar console I've ever seen. The dash area is excellent- all the plastic, lenses, knobs, air conditioning vents, steering wheel are excellent. It was not smoked in, the lighter and ashtray have not been used. The glove box looks brand new. Even the little bits and pieces- window cranks, mirror, kick panels under the dash is all like new. It has it's original red seat belts front and back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very original. Very rare and desirable 383-325 hp 4 barrel motor. It's the same motor as the R/T. It also has rare factory air conditioning and power steering. It is all stock- manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner etc. The motor runs smooth and strong. The air conditioning is all hooked up and actually blowing cold. The original fender tag is still attached. The metal owner's card is still in it's holder. The number on the core support matches the fender tag. Every thing looks proper- horns, battery hold down, squirters, radiator etc.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All original red paint inside the trunk on completely rust free metal. Original spare tire, it's never been out of the car. It still has ink marks on the tire. The original jack assembly is still mounted. The weather strip and the sticker under the trunk is original. The trunk mat is new.

UNDERSIDE: Under this car is a really well preserved original survivor. Absolutely zero rust in the floors, frame rails, inner rockers etc. The lower quarter panels are all pristine. The metal has never even been spray painted. Dual exhaust has new factory type mufflers and tailpipes.

This is a rare and desirable find. One of the nicest survivors I've seen. A red/red big block with air, bucket seats and a console with floor shift is super sought after combination. It's an R/T in disguise!
