This 1979 Ford Bronco is a nice, solid and clean Bronco that is
ready to be driven and enjoyed. The Bronco underwent a mild
restoration a few years back and it still looks great. The last
owner purchased it as an original truck and said the miles are
original. This truck has a nice solid body, but the paint was old
when he purchased it so he had it repainted in its original red
color and added a fine metallic and the vintage graphics. He
replaced some metal from the floor as it was getting weak and had
new metal welded in. After that he ziebarted the truck since he was
going to use as an everyday driver (he actually never did use as an
everyday driver as he could not bring himself to do that). We found
no bondo in this rig and it is solid. He had both bumpers powder
coated and the Grille Shell is original and still in great
condition. The interior is really nice and most of it has been
redone. The factory seats were reupholstered and look new and the
carpet was replaced at some point as well. It has newer door
panels, newer dash cover and newer side panels as well. The rest is
original and in great condition!!! Headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and blinkers are working. All of the gauges work and
the heat horn, and wipers are working.
Mechanically this Bronco is top notch. It runs and drives great!!!
The engine is the 351M V8 (5.8L) and it runs strong and smooth with
no issues or red flags. The engine was rebuilt at some point
according to the previous owner, but we did not obtain the receipt.
Based on everything we have seen and checked it appears to be the
case. There is no smoke at startup, no red flags, and strong oil
pressure. They added an Aluminum Edelbrock Intake and Edelbrock
Carb. The transmission is the c6 Automatic that shifts nice and it
is mated to the np205 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should.
It has a Ford 9" Rear Axle and a Dana 44 Front Axle and they both
have 3.50 Gears. This is all sitting on a nice set of Vintage
Aluminum Wheels with a newer set of 31 Inch Cooper All terrain
Tires. This Bronco is set up to use as a daily driver or just a
weekend toy!!
