Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful 1979
Porsche 911 Turbo in excellent condition. It looks good, runs
great, and is an awesome driver. The market on the 930 Porsches is
absolutely red hot right now and this example is priced to sell,
this is lease expensive 930 turbo on the market with a clean title.
This 911 is finished in Guards red over Black leather, which is a
beautiful and iconic color combination that looks great on the car.
This is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by
the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity that is included with the
car and pictured in this ad.
The car comes with a massive book of documentation including
receipts and service records dating back to the mid 1980's that
total nearly $40,000. The previous owner purchasing this 930 in
September of 1985 when the car had 4,707 miles. He and his wife
took excellent care of the car over the years. There is also a
photo album with the car showing the engine being removed from the
car and rebuilt.
As a side note, this Porsche is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from
owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the
vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
930, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Guards Red exterior is in very nice driver condition. As one
can see in the photos, the paint has an amazing gloss and deep
shine. Both doors open and shut nicely. The car exhibits great body
panel fit overall. The Fuchs wheels that have been polished are in
great shape with no curb rash. The tires have plenty of tread left
and are show no signs of dry rotting or cracking. There are no
major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the
photos. As a driver quality car, the exterior is not perfect, there
are some blemishes and discoloration around that are too tiny so
show up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from
about five or ten feet away. We believe that the car has never been
in any kind of accident, which was confirmed by the previous owner,
but the car has had paintwork in the past. This car has no rust
issues. As one can see in the many photos of the underside, this
930 turbo is very clean underneath. We have also included specific
photos of the rockers, lower front and rear quarter panels, and
other areas on the car most prone to rust to show how nice it
looks.
Interior
The Black leather interior of the 911 looks fantastic. The Recaro
seats are in excellent condition with no tears, rips, or split
seams. The seat is not overly work in the typical area on the
bolster where the driver gets in and out. The headrest speakers
work and can be turned on and off with the switch on the bolster.
The carpet looks great with no stains, rips, or holes. All of the
gauge faces are crisp and the lenses are clear. The original door
panels look wonderful with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls
are solid and intact. This car has never been smoked in; there is
no aroma of cigarettes whatsoever and no burn marks. The front
trunk is very clean and nicely detailed.
The excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the
meticulous care and attention this Porsche has received throughout
its life and another great verification of low mileage.
Mechanical
This 911 appears to be in very nice mechanical condition and it is
ready to be enjoyed. The car is blisteringly fast and is an
absolute thrill when the turbo spools up. The engine starts right
away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. It is an exceptional
driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the
video one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to
about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to a
stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that it runs
great, there are no strange noises or vibrations, and the car
performs quite nice overall. The brakes are responsive and do not
pull to one side or the other. It runs cool and does not overheat.
The gauge shows that the engine makes great oil pressure. There are
around $40,000 thousand dollars in receipts for maintenance and
other things to keep the car in tip top shape over the years. The
shifter is tight, the transmission does not pop out of gear, and
the clutch feels good. There is a little crunch when shifting
quickly into second gear. The car has a small oil leak on the right
rear corner that you can notice on the ground after it sits in the
same spot for a while. The engine bay is clean, nicely detailed,
and correct as one can see from the photos.
Please note in the video the dash warning lights; they light up
when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is
started. There are no warning lights that stay on. The horn works
as do the fog lights, headlights, brights, turn signals,
indicators, dash gauges lights, power windows, rear defroster, fan
for the heater, and fan for the a/c. The a/c works and blows cold.
The wipers do not work. The lift struts for the front truck and
rear engine cover have become a bit weak. This Porsche has lots of
power being a turbocharged 3.3L Flat six. We are not Porsche
experts and there may be items that we missed so we would enough
any perspective buyer to look at the car in person or have it
independently inspected. Not enough can be said as to how much of a
pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the windows down
and radio off on a beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1979 930 Turbo is in great condition and is a true
bargain at our asking price. This car is a great example for
someone wanting to get into a 930 turbo chassis and not have to
break the bank doing so. As stated above, we believe this to be the
cheapest 930 on the market right now with a clean title. The title,
which is pictured in this ad, shows the mileage as actual and
original, but we cannot verify the mileage so we are selling the
car with nonactual miles. The market for the 930 body style is very
strong right now, particularly for the turbos and this would be a
great example to buy. This 911 is a great value and will only
appreciate over time. Someone could easily enjoy this vehicle for
several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with
minimal effort.
