-Polaris Neu Silver (060) over blue vinyl upholstery, Grey carpet,
Ivory headliner, Restored, MFI Fuel injected 2.0 liter inline M10 4
cylinder engine, 4-speed manual transmission.
The BMW 2002 is regarded as the genesis of modern BMW. Introduced
in the mid-1960s, the "Neue Klasse" sedan was an instant hit and
paved the way for the modern sport sedan, becoming BMW's strong
suit carried through to this day. The 2002 (Two-Liter, Two door
sedan) was updated throughout its production and culminated with
the "tii" fuel injected model. The tii also featured MacPherson
suspension and enlarged front disc brakes. 1972 featured the iconic
chrome bumper "Roundie" taillights and the "tii" only accounted for
about 10% of all 2002 production.
This Silver tii was restored during its previous collector
ownership. It has been excellently cared for throughout its life as
seen by its superb condition as presented today. All systems in
working order and as originally intended by the factory when
new.
The tii features upgraded 13in OEM BMW basketweave wheels, Sony
stereo system, Coco floor and trunk mats, Nardi steering wheels,
and BMW shift knob. Complete with invoices from 2014, recent work
shows gearbox replacement, rebuilding of the front brake calipers
and the rebuild of the steering gear with a quick ratio kit.
Currently, this restored tii is ready for immediate touring
pleasure and would certainly be a showpiece at any BMW event or
other vintage car show. This 2002 is complete with its original
manual, jack, spare wheel and Coco floor and trunk mats.
