Vehicle Description
1966 Ford Bronco Resto Mod
Why This Car Is Special
We have a 1966 Ford Bronco Resto Mod 4 X 4 Sport Utility for sale
here at Skyway Classics that is extremely nice with a modern touch,
and it must be seen to be appreciated.
The Ford Bronco was a multi-purpose vehicle manufactured and
marketed by Ford from 1966 to 1996, over five generations of
vehicles.
There's no missing this Bronco when you see it. After its complete
frame-off restoration, this '66 Early Ford Bronco is better than
showroom new. From its custom white paint job, 5.0 Mustang motor,
huge mag wheels and off-road tires, and suspension lift, it has eye
appeal that no one can deny.
Mechanical
Under the hood is proper Ford Blue Oval Power in the form of a
Mustang powertrain consisting of a 5.0 Liter V8 engine from a
Mustang GT, is arguably the most exciting part of this build.
Power and torque figures are over 350 horsepower with gobs of
torque. It also sounds great, with a set of long tube headers
connected to a large dual performance exhaust system with a X-Tube
crossover installed too.
The engine has fuel injection, open element air cleaner assembly,
5.0 intake, aluminum radiator, and is a strong package that starts
easily, runs nicely, and shifts cleanly with the automatic
transmission and 4x4 transfer case using 285/70R17 Nitto Terra
Grappler G2 All-terrain tires on blackout mag wheels that are great
when the pavement ends. But with power steering on this Bronco, it
feels easy in-town, too.
Our Bronco is a very capable off-roader, if the next owner chooses
to use it that way, with a lifted Skyjacker suspension package that
must be seen with its lift and long radius arms, H.D. front and
rear 4x4 axles, and braking is provided by Wilwood Racing discs at
all four corners.
Interior
The interior is astonishing as well with everything both brand new
and functional. It has twin front grey high back bucket seats with
headrests and matching rear bench seat, center cargo console,
shifter on the floor and two 4wd drive axle shifters, and full grey
carpet and floor mats, and white/black door panels.
The dash looks very original with functioning gauges in one pod and
is painted in the same body color white with the addition of a tilt
steering wheel column and nice wood sport steering wheel, A/C and
Heat, a custom Pioneer Stereo System mounted in the glove box and
speakers and an aftermarket red roll cage.
Exterior
The body is painted in the pearl white with the white removable
hardtop and the paint shines well with the body panels being all
re-done and straight with overall body panel fit great too.
All of the chrome bezels, bumpers, Bronco and 5.0 emblems and trim
look good as does the glass. Our Bronco rides high with its
aftermarket suspension lift kit with performance shocks, springs,
and red tow hooks on the front and rear blacked out aftermarket
bumpers.
