This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Tribute has the right features
everywhere from the upgraded aggressive exterior to the comfortable
A/C interior. But the heart of the appeal is having an iconic
Camaro powered by a serious big block heart.
A big power Camaro is always going to look its best in red. So it's
great to find one that not only appears to have been born a Matador
Red, but it has also been resprayed along the way. The right amount
of gloss, nice chrome on wraparound bumpers, and good body lines
deliver an attractive total package. But overall, this presentation
is a car that's never afraid to hit the road. And we like that kind
of attitude because this has a true aggressive style. It has an
upgraded Super Sport style done in black with the chin spoiler,
blackout SS grille, and distinct D90 stripe. The D80 rear spoiler,
large dual exhaust tips, and upgraded cowl hood continue this added
intimidation. And the Z/28-style 15-inch Rallye wheels also have a
larger rear set to give this one the stance you really want.
For the same reasons we like the look of the black accents on the
outside, the full black interior looks quite attractive. It has a
quality feel that makes this attractive, and there's upgraded
Vintage Air air conditioning to make this a terrific anytime
cruiser. But the point of a big block Camaro is to be a driver's
coupe, and that's why this one focuses on you. It includes front
bucket seats, a center console w/horseshoe shifter, bright
auxiliary gauges, and a three-spoke sports steering wheel on a tilt
column.
The engine bay looks good with plenty of shine on the valve covers,
air grabber, alternator, and more. While the badges on the fenders
say 396, you actually have a BIGGER big block. And not only is this
a 454 cubic-inch V8, but it also has added performance with a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and headers
that feed the Flowmaster mufflers of the dual exhaust with a
rumble. There are also good supporting components, like an Accel
HEI distributor and a large aluminum radiator. It's a strong
runner, and the TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is a great
combination of stout construction and smooth shifting. Plus, you've
got power steering, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich
T/As.
This is the powerful big block coupe that also makes for a
comfortable and competent all-around driver. So if you're looking
to cruise a head-turning Camaro, don't miss this deal. Call
