Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this 1998 Pontiac Trans Am
convertible in excellent condition with only 42,627 original miles.
This Trans Am looks fantastic, runs great, and is an excellent
driver. The Arctic White (10) over Arctic White interior (10) is a
beautiful color combination that looks great on the car. It is also
the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on
the data sticker, which is pictured below. This is an excellent
opportunity to own a classic Trans Am that is ready to be used and
enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now
and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as
the market on the fourth generation F-bodies (Firebird and Camaro)
is strong right now and on the rise, especially for very low
mileage and premium examples like this car. The very low original
mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also
the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, showing the mileage as
"Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, the extensive list of
option codes, video, and information to get a true sense of how
nice, clean, and original this Trans Am really is.
There is also a copy of the AutoCheck report in this ad. The report
is totally clean, shows no accident history, and verifies the low
mileage. I have personally put about 25 miles on this Trans Am
recently. During that time, the car was completely reliable, a true
pleasure to drive, and had absolutely no issues.
As a side note, this Pontiac Trans Am is not a dealer auction
vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our
classics come from owners who expect their car to go to someone
that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.
We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have
the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture.
We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Trans Am, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Arctic white exterior is in excellent condition. As one can see
in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss, deep shine, and
smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely. The OEM Speedline
wheels and center caps are in great condition with a nice finish
and no curb rash. The tires have plenty of life left. The
convertible top is like new with no split seams, holes, or frayed
edges. Please note that the tops still has the correct glass rear
window with the defogger, not a cheap plastic replacement. The
power convertible top works well and goes up and down properly with
no effort of binding in the mechanism. The operation of the power
top can be seen in the video. There are no major imperfections that
have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There are some
very tiny blemishes that were too small to show up in the pictures,
but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet
away. This Trans Am has absolutely no rust issues. As one can see
in the many photos of the underside of the car, it is very clean
underneath. The frame is totally solid with no rust around the rear
spring mount. We have included specific photos of the rear spring
mounts, rockers, lower quarter panels, and the areas most prone to
rust to show how nice this car looks.
Interior
The Arctic white interior in this Trans Am is in great condition.
The seats are in good shape and look as good in person as they do
in the photos. There is just a small spot of wear in the typical
area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is
also in great condition with no holes or tears. This includes the
rear carpet, which is often neglected. The gauge faces are crisp
and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The door panels are in
excellent shape overall and the door pulls are solid and intact.
The dash is in nice condition overall with no sun fading and one
hairline crack. The original radio works well and gets great
reception. Most importantly the original dash has never been cut or
modified for an aftermarket installation. The trunk is also very
clean. The spare tire and jack are also still with the car stored
correctly in the trunk boot. This Trans Am has never been smoked
in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes.
Trans Am interiors from this era are not known to wear well,
especially for a convertible with a light color like white, and the
excellent condition of this original interior is a huge testament
to the meticulous care and attention this car has received
throughout its life and another great verification of the low
mileage.
Mechanical
This Trans Am seems to be in excellent mechanical condition. The
car runs well and idles well. It drives great and feels nice on the
road and at highway speeds. In the video in this ad one can observe
the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting
through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some
curves. Please note that there are no vibrations or strange noises
and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to
one side or the other. The transmission shifts well through the
power band. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the
car. This Trans Am has plenty of power and is quite fast. Also, the
engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as
one can see in the photos.
The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights,
indicators, fog lights, wipers, power windows, power antenna, power
locks, power seat in all 6 directions as well as the bolster and
lumbar support functions, rear defroster, and even key buzzer. All
of the gauges work. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all
speeds. The a/c also works and blows cold. The headlights work
correctly with no effort or binding in the mechanism. The complete
operation of the headlights, brights, and turn signals can be
viewed in the video in this ad. Not enough can be said as to how
much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the top
down on a beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1998 Trans Am is in magnificent condition. The very
low miles, the beautiful and iconic original color combination, and
the excellent overall condition make this car especially important
and hard to duplicate. It is very hard to find a Firebird or Camaro
from this era that is still in great original condition with low
mileage as most were used, abused, or modified. This Trans Am
always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is
apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its
previous owners. The prices of fourth generation GM "F-Body" cars
have increased considerably over the past several years. They are
secure and wise investments for a collector. Cars like this are the
Barrett Jackson stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this
vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase
price with minimal effort.
Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call
