1971 Chevrolet Camaro - 350 V8 - 4 Speed Manual - Blue over Black
and Blue Interior - Numbers matching motor - Z28 badging, but not a

1971 Camaro sales brochure Offered here is a 1971 Chevrolet Camaro
in Mulsanne blue (with black stripes) over light-blue and black.
The Camaro odometer shows just 13,084 miles, but in all likelihood,
the odometer has rolled and the actual mileage is 113,084. At the
higher number, the Camaro has traveled under 2,300 miles per-year
since new. The condition of the car is excellent overall. The
Camaro's exterior Mulsanne blue paint has been expertly refreshed
with excellent gloss, deep reflectivity, and an absence of notable
signs of wear or deterioration, including on lower body surfaces.
(Mulsanne is a region in northwest France after which the long
straight section of the 24 Hours of LeMans course is named.)
Particularly appealing here is the perfect application of the
double black stripes on the hood, and especially on the rear deck
where they cross the spoiler. The stripes are crisp and unfaded
with no cuts or other damage. (To best assess the quality of the
paint and trim finishes, be sure to view the close-up photographs
of the car in the accompanying gallery.) All body panels are
similarly free of damage with fit at or above the level seen in
this era from the Norwood, Ohio assembly plant. The matte-black
front spoiler is free of cracks or damage. The tastefully limited
chrome on the body--including on the highly desirable split front
bumpers--remains in excellent condition. Customer-applied
badging-Z28 emblems in the front grille, on the rear valance, and
on both front fenders, as well as the Camaro emblem on the hood-is
correct and complete. Cabin glass and lighting lenses are clear and
free of cracks. Cragar® 5-spoke chrome 15-inch wheels (with Cragar
centers) are mounted with GoodYear® Eagle GTII 235/60
raised-white-letter performance tires. The car's interior combines
light blue velour fabric (trimmed in blue vinyl) upholstery with
black carpets, dashboard, console, and trim. The blue, vertically
pleated, textured upholstery on the front buckets and 2-position
rear bench is free of rips, tear, or even much indication of use
(although both outside bolsters on the front seats show some light
wear from use). Woodgrain-trimmed black door panels (with stereo
speakers and window cranks) are likewise excellent; chrome
door-sill plates are near-perfect indicating owner care and pride.
Dashboard surfaces are extremely well preserved with no sign of sun
damage or fading. The stock, black, steering wheel (with GT center
emblem) frames a woodgrain-trimmed instrument cluster with 150-mph
speedometer, 4,700-rpm-redline tachometer and four
engine-monitoring gauges. An added engine oil-pressure gauge is
mounted forward on the console. Chrome-on-plastic trim surrounding
the factory instruments and controls is in well-preserved
condition. A Nakamichi® audio head unit is mounted in the
factory-radio location. The shift lever for the 4-speed manual
transmission is console-mounted with the shift pattern on the knob.
A combination storage box-armrest separates the two front seats.
Under the hood, the 350-cubic-inch V8 (with the correct
orange-painted block) holds forth under an open-sided chrome air
cleaner. Chrome, Chevrolet-embossed valve covers, an unpainted
manifold, and very clean engine surfaces make for an appealing
performance statement. The engine bay is likewise clean and
complete, and thankfully free of shine-enhancing spray-on treatmen
