Vehicle Description
This 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra is the debut year for the
exceptionally more powerful 4.6-liter V8. So when you have a coupe
that's sleek, fast, distinct, and loaded, it makes for a desirable
collectible offered for a terrific price.
SVT and Cobra are some of the most desirable names in blue oval
performance, so when you have them on the same car, you know you've
got the right machine. The Crystal White paint shows all the right
signs of being the factory application, and it has the high gloss
style to highlight how the whole care has seen good care over the
decades. And the big polished presentation is only heightened by
the bright 17-inch SVT wheels. What is SVT? That's Ford's Special
Vehicle's Team. They are not only the ones responsible for all the
great design touches like the unique fascia, hood scoops, and
coiled snake badges, but they also engineered this coupe to have
the performance to back up its sporty image.
Step inside, and this Cobra gets to show you its dark side. The
combination of black leather with the white exterior is a
timelessly attractive combo. It's a well-kept total style. In fact,
while the odometer represents the full actual mileage, you have
investments in updates, like fresher leather on the front bucket
seats. The Cobra got just about every comfort and convenience
option in the Mustang catalog as standard equipment from the
factory. So the driver gets a great performance package that
includes white-faced analog gauges, a leather-wrapped wheel, cruise
control, a power seat, and a five-speed now with an upgraded
shifter. Plus, there's cold-blowing air conditioning, power
windows, power locks, keyless entry, and the upgraded premium
factory AM/FM/cassette stereo with a separate CD player. This
modern classic also lets you take advantage of safety features like
dual airbags and anti-lock brakes.
All-new for 1996, the DOHC 4.6-liter V8. This is the ideal motor
for terrific low-end power and plenty of muscle left in reserve to
get you well above triple-digit speeds. This new powerplant was a
significant leap over the already celebrated 5.0. That's why this
is a milestone classic, and it's nice to see this looking so stock.
There's a huge aftermarket to add even more power to the factory's
305 hp rating, but quite frankly, we're much more impressed with
how tidy the well-respected engine bay is. The five-speed manual
transmission snaps through the gears easily, and the factory
upgraded suspension delivers true performance car handling. Helping
corral all this performance pony is the power steering, massive
four-wheel disc brakes, and grippy Toyo tires.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the collectible Cobra that
you'll also love to drive. So it makes for a great modern classic
offered for quite a nice price. Call now!
