Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevrolet K10 is a 4x4 with a powerful small block, a
nice A/C interior, and it's rendered in a slick modern paint. So
it's the weekend friend that helps with the chores on Saturdays,
hits the town in the evening, and then makes the scene at the
Sunday car show. It's truly the vintage ride that can do it
all.
That glossy red knows how to pop when the sunshine hits it. Not
only does the paint look nice, but also the body is exceptionally
straight and the chrome bumpers are mirror-like. Also showing off
the straightness of the side panels is the cool vintage wood-like
trim running the full length of the sides and on the tailgate
insert. The overall look is a well-done truck that isn't so
over-done that people will accuse you of having a trailer queen.
Instead, you know this is the one that could add a hitch to tow the
trailer queens There's even a steel bed floor painted black to help
keep this long bed looking good while you pull real truck duty. But
custom elements like the grille and polished 17-inch wheels let you
know that this one likes to be memorable for its distinction rather
than just its capability.
There was plenty invested inside to give it the ideal look of
vintage and new. It starts with the seats. The saddle tan is always
attractive, especially when it feels this fresh and has the premium
C10 western-style pattern. The door panels are done to match, too.
The same freshness can be found on fundamentals like the carpeting
and dash pad. The restoration even focused on the details that make
a big difference, like the glass and weather-stripping. There are
well-integrated modern upgrades, like the retro-style AM/FM digital
tuner w/aux input for your iPod, and the air conditioning is a
modern R134a setup. The classic Chevy steering wheel is a welcome
site, and it gives you a clear view of the full gauge package that
includes a tach.
The 350 cubic-inch V8 under the hood has a tidy and clean
presentation. We like that it's a nice strong running motor for
this truck. We're told it's a four-bolt main unit bored .30 over
and given a Lunati VooDoo cam. There's also a Summit four-barrel
carburetor w/electric choke to make sure this one loves to fire up
readily and run strong. There's even a stall on the three-speed
automatic transmission to keep you in the ideal powerband. The
proper raised 4x4 suspension and two-speed transfer case mean this
classic keeps going even when the pavement ends. As you look
underneath, you'll spot newer components, like the dual exhaust and
full brake kit. That gives this one more confidence in all
conditions, and features like power steering and power brakes give
this a solid feeling on the road.
This is the classic 4x4 that is made to look sharp, feel
comfortable, and stay quite capable. So it has some great
all-around appeal that you'll want to get your hands on today. Call
