The 2-door sports car by BMW was built starting 1995 and ending in
2002 with the inception of the Z4. Development began in 1991 and
would be designed mid-1992, a whopping 39 months before production.
It was offered in a roadster or coupe format and would have a
couple facelifts throughout its 8 year run and also offer a variety
of engine configurations and both automatic and 5-speed manual set
ups. This particular absolute stunner of a Z3 we here at GR Auto
Gallery in Traverse City are pleased to present has a clean carfax,
original owners manual and key. It has traveled less than 60,000
miles since new and has excellent tires and brakes. The paint and
interior I think are in excellent condition. The power convertible
top operates perfectly and is in excellent shape. This is such a
fun car to drive with excellent power coming from that 2.5 Liter.
You may notice that there is a 2.3 badge on the back. It is a 2.5
and always has been based on the VIN. 2000 was a transition year
so, the speculation is that it was wrongly badged from BMW...True
or not, who knows, but a cool story nonetheless and there is really
no other explanation. It is hard to find a really nice two-seat
touring car in this type of condition and these miles for this
price-point. The build quality and durability of these years BMW's
are unparalleled.
