Vehicle Description
Toyota Trucks are known around the world for being some of the
toughest and most durable vehicles you can buy. The Hilux was the
precursor to the Tacoma and is widely used around the world for its
reliability, payload and off road ability. There is a segment of
the BBC's TopGear that is dedicated to the durability of these
trucks and shows the truck under water, on fire and crumpled but
still running. Building off of the success and legacy of the Hilux,
Toyota USA introduced the Tacoma in 1995 that was catered to the
North American market. With a greater focus on comfort and on-road
ability, and a range of four and six cylinder engines, the midsize
Tacoma became an instant success.
The 2001 Toyota Tacoma limited 4 door pickup offered here spent
most of its life in California and appears to be rock solid. It is
powered by its 3.4L V6 engine and is mated to an automatic
transmission and has a rear diff locker. The truck runs and handles
very well and holds the road straight and smoothly. Highlights
include an alarm system, bed liner, extra set of summer tires,
center console, power brakes and power steering, power
windows/locks/mirrors. This truck is ready to be a solid workhorse
for its next owner.
