We will start off with the exterior of this Malibu Classic. The
iconic styling of the era is in full effect here with the stacked
headlights and big front grill along with the chrome bumpers. The
body on it is in phenomenal condition and they did an excellent job
on the fit and finish of all the panels during the restoration. It
was redone in the Medium Red paint that's accented by the Black
Stripes. Both the front and rear bumpers are in great condition
along with all the stainless and trim. You can see the tail lights
and headlights are very nice as well. The paint has a gorgeous
finish that's been polished to a deep rich shine. Both doors, the
hood, and trunk have a great fit while opening and closing with
ease. All the glass in this Chevrolet is also in great condition
along with the seals and weather stripping. To finish off the look
it's sitting on the staggered 17" and 18" Chrome Retro Wheels.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '76. On the inside it's
done in the two tone Red and Black color combo that flows
seamlessly from the exterior. It has the bucket seats featuring the
iconic swivel driver bucket seat along with having the center
console that houses the Automatic Shifter. The door panels are also
done in the two-tone scheme and look to have been replaced at the
time of the resto. Both the carpet and headliner have an excellent
fit and it has the working dome light. The front and rear seats
were redone in the red at the time of the resto as well. Looking at
the dash we can see that it's been extremely well cared for over
the years and it's not cracked and showing a ton of wear. It's done
in black and features the woodgrain accents that tie in perfectly
to the steering wheel. All the gauges are in great condition, and
we can see that this is a factory AC car that is working. Inside
the trunk is all solid from the pan to the jams and comes with the
trunk mat.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the
hood it's powered by the Matching Numbers 305 V8 engine. It's been
upgraded with the Holley Street Dominator Intake and Edelbrock 600
Carb. It's dressed in the Edelbrock Finned Air Cleaner with
matching valve covers. The engine is detailed in the Chevy Orange
with the inner fenders and firewall all being solid and done in
black. Along with having Factory AC it also comes with Power
Steering and Power Brakes with Disc on the front and drums out
back. The V8 runs to the 350 Turbo Trans and the 10 Bolt Rear End.
For exhaust it has headers with dual pipes and flow master style
mufflers. When you look under it you can see that a new gas tank
was installed. Also, you'll notice that the floor pans are all rock
solid and in excellent condition along with the frame. All the
suspension is also in great condition and on the highway, it runs
and drives phenomenal.
