Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful 1986
Mercedes Benz 560SL in excellent condition with only 57,275
original miles. It looks spectacular, runs great, and is an awesome
driver. The market on the 560SL is absolutely red hot right now and
this example is priced to sell. Low mileage and original examples
of the R107 Mercedes SL like this car are exceptionally difficult
to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. 57,275 miles
is very low for a Mercedes from this era. The low original mileage
is also verified not only by the condition of the car, but also by
the clear Ohio title showing the mileage as "Actual."
I have personally put about 40 miles on this Mercedes in the past
few weeks. During that time, the car was completely reliable, a
true pleasure to drive, and had absolutely no issues. The car comes
with service records, receipts, and an extensive maintenance log
dating back to 2000. The receipts and the entries in the
maintenance log add up to over $20,200 so this car has been very
well cared for over the years.
This 560SL comes with both the soft-top and auxiliary hardtop. This
is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mercedes that is ready
to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy
this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years
to come. This Mercedes is finished in the absolutely beautiful and
highly desirable color combination of Signal Red (568) over Creme
Beige Mushroom Leather (275). This is also the correct and original
color scheme as verified by the codes on the vehicle data tag.
Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other information in
this ad to get a true sense of clean and nice this 560SL really
is.
As a side note, this Mercedes is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from
owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the
vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
560SL, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Signal Red (568) exterior is in very nice condition. As one can
see in the photos, the paint has a brilliant gloss, deep shine, and
smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely; it has that solid
Mercedes touch and feels like a vault door closing. The alloy
wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no
curb rash. The Michelin tires have plenty of tread left and are
correctly sized 205/65R15. There are no major imperfections that
have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There may be some
very tiny touch ups or other blemishes that were too small to show
up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about
five or ten feet away. This Mercedes has absolutely no rust issues
at all. As one can see in the many photos of the underside, it is
very clean underneath. We have also included specific photos of the
rockers, lower front and rear quarter panels, and other areas on
the car most prone to rust to show how nice it looks.
Interior
The Creme Beige Mushroom Leather (275) interior of the 560SL looks
absolutely fantastic. The seats look brand new with no tears, rips,
or signs of wear. The seat is not overly worn at all in the typical
spot on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet
looks great with no stains, rips, or holes. All of the gauge faces
are crisp and clean and the lenses are clear. The door panels look
wonderful with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls are solid
and intact. The convertible soft-top is in excellent condition. The
rear windows are clear with no yellowing or cloudiness and are not
worn in the normal spot where the windows contact the top
mechanism. The dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or sun
fading. The car now has a more modern radio that has Bluetooth
connectivity and auxiliary inputs; the original radio is also
included with the car. This car has never been smoked in; there is
no aroma of cigarettes what so ever and no burn marks. The trunk is
very clean and nicely detailed with the jack, original spare tire,
and rim that still has the original jack instructions tag attached
to it.
Interiors in convertible cars are not known to wear well over time.
The excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the
meticulous care and attention this Mercedes has received throughout
its life and another great verification of the low original
mileage.
Mechanical
This 560SL appears to be in great mechanical condition and it is
ready to be enjoyed. As stated above I have personally put about 40
miles on the car with no issues and there are over $20,200 in
maintenance records for this car so it is very well sorted
mechanically. The engine starts right away every time, runs well,
and idles smooth. It is an exceptional driver that feels great on
the road and at highway speeds. In the video one can observe the
car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through
all the gears, braking to a stoplight, and going through some
curves. Please note that it drives great, there are no strange
noises or vibrations, and the car performs quite nice overall. The
brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other.
There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs
cool and does not overheat. The gauge shows that the engine makes
great oil pressure. Also, the engine bay is clean, nicely detailed,
and correct as one can see from the photos.
Please note in the video the dash warning lights; they light up
when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is
started as they should. There are no "check engine" lights that
stay on. The horn works as do the fog lights, headlights, brights,
turn signals, interior lights, indicators, dash gauges lights,
wipers, power locks, and fan. The a/c works and blows cold. The
cruise control works. Even the trunk light works. All of the gauges
work with the obvious exception of the clock. This Mercedes has
lots of power with the 5.6 liter V8 engine. Not enough can be said
as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially
with the top down on a beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1986 560SL is in excellent condition and is a true
bargain at our asking price. This car is a premium example. The
very low mileage, excellent color combination, and great overall
shape make this 560SL very hard to duplicate. The market for the
R107 body style SL Mercedes is very strong right now, particularly
for the 560SL's and this would be a great example to own. This
Mercedes is a great value and will only appreciate over time.
Someone could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell
it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call
with any questions.
