This rust-free 1974 Ford Bronco is getting a fresh frame off restoration. It just got a new 2020 Suburu Cool Gray Khaki (light blue non-metallic) 2 stage PPG paint job, plus a new Linex interior bed liner. It’s getting a new chrome bumper in front and a new black powder coated Rock Solid rear bumper with swing out tire carrier and a matching spare wheel/tire in back. It will have a new windshield and seal, all new rubber and seals, new grade 8 and stainless steel body hardware, everything throughout this Bronco will either be new or restored to a very high level upon completion.
The frame has been stripped, everything removed, sand blasted, and powder coated satin black. It will get a new 2.5 inch soft ride suspension system with variable rate front coil springs, new 11 leaf 2.5 inch rear springs in back, nitrogen charged shocks, extended brake hoses, new dropped radius arm brackets, new radius arm bushings, new 7 degree C bushings, new tie rods, new adjustable drag link and track bar, plus a fresh alignment.
It’s getting a Blueprint 306 roller motor with aluminum heads, a Holley Sniper fuel injection, MSD billet distributor, MSD wires, shorty headers, electronic ignition, 90 amp alternator, high torque mini-starter, platinum plugs, ARP headware, WH oil pan & pick up tube, a new aluminum radiator, new radiator mounting brackets, plus all new surrounding engine parts. It's getting a rebuilt AOD four-speed automatic transmission with new cooler lines, an HD radiator, custom cross member, new flexplate, Lokar kickdown linkage kit, Lokar throttle kit, Lokar dipstick tube kit & shift linkage kit, ARP hardware and grade 8 mounting hardware. It's getting a new black tilt steering column, a new Grand 968 wood grain steering wheel, plus a rebuilt Dana 20 transfer case and new Tom Woods drive shafts.It will be getting new 15 x 10 inch aluminum wheels with new BFG 32X11.50X15 All Terrain tires.
It’s going to have a restored Dana 44 front axle with disc brakes, the rear axle is going to be a restored Ford 9 inch with Posi-Traction and disc brakes. It will be getting a new Hydroboost power assist hydraulic power brake system. It is getting a new power steering system with upgraded late model PS pump and Tom Lee rebuilt factory 14-1 (4 turn) steering gear box.
It’s getting a new Legend dashboard with a new Classic Instruments RRB speedometer plus a new vintage air conditioning system with 4 round billet A/C vents mounted in-dash, plus a new Painless wire harness will be installed.It will have a new HPC custom black center console with a new single din Kenwood Bluetooth stereo system mounted inside of the console, with 4 6.5 inch coaxial Focal Access series speakers flush mounted in the rear side paneling and in custom front kick panel speaker enclosures. It will have a new glove box liner, a restored 2 speed wiper system with a new wiper reservoir, plus a new custom built HPC black wiper motor cover and sun visors. The fuel, brake, e-brake and high beam petals will be black, but we could install billet petals upon request.
The new vintage distressed leather interior is going to be either diamond-stitched, it is getting Pro Car Elite high back reclining seats in front, with headrests, with a matching folding rear seat with headrests in the back. It will have a Legend family roll cage, powder coated black, with retractable seat belts in the front and in back, braces that secure the windshield frame (for added stability when the new Rampage Tan soft top is off and the new black Safari Top is installed) plus new leather roll cage padding and wrapping.
All lenses and turn signals will be new, plus it will be getting new LED headlights, new late model red/white tail lights, new amber / red side marker lights with chrome bezels surrounding the side marker lights, plus new chrome head lamp rings and tail light bezels.
This Bronco is scheduled for late 2021 completion and early 2022 delivery, after a 2-3 week testing / shake down period.
