Collector Car Gallery is very pleased to offer this stunning 1957 Chevrolet Corvette. Prior to our possession, this vehicle had been owned by the same person since 1972, almost 50 years! Purchased by the previous owner as a teenager and driven sparingly then put away for the next 30 years. Then began the tedious process of disassembly and restoration. The restorer's passion and connection to the car are evident in the attention to detail. This restoration was not rushed by time or money constraints. This restoration was a labor of love that lasted several years and closely followed the restoration guide book. We are so very pleased and honored to have acquired this American sports car. Finished in Venetian Red, the exterior is showing very well with very few visible blemishes. The hard top is gorgeous. The soft top is currently being assembled and will accompany the vehicle. The Red interior shows as though the car has barely seen use. An Al Knoch interior kit was used to made this perfect. The frame was powder coated and there are many pictures of the restoration process. The ORIGINAL 283/240 horsepower engine and automatic transmission were professionally rebuilt. With only 52,115 documented ORIGINAL miles, this piece is a rare gem. These miles are historically documented and verified.
