America's Personal Luxury car As it was affectionately dubbed as it gained prominance in the Golden Years of America Oppulance. Americans in general wanted to flaunt their success in front of the world and celebrate it with the automobiles we have come to love over the years. The Thunderbird did exactly that for most of us. This PARTICULAR Bird has 48,621. ORIGINAL MILES per previous 2nd owner. It is the 'Up Level' Landau Coupe Original 390ci Engine has been thoroughly gone through and professionally rebuilt with hardened valve seats, new timing gear train, and this baby starts right up on first crank. It does produce over 315HP making a luxury sports coupe with a bit of Ooomph! Petronix Ignition Rebuilt Original Carburetor Upgraded Dual Master Cylinder with All New Brake Lines / Hoses Radial Tires are also near new Battery Disconnect Switch Sequential Turn Signals Factory Floor Mats Limited Slip Rear Differential This has Power Windows that ALL WORK! Tilt-A-Way Stering Wheel There are a couple small tears on the driver's seat cover, otherwise this is one of the nicest interiors we've seen in a long time on a seemingly survivor car. We included pictures of areas where there is small bubbling on the surface. Overall this car is very nice and shows extremely well. The Chrome and Stainless appear to be original and show normal wear and fading. Just a Very Very Cool Car and the Color is Absolutrely Beautiful! For 1966, the 390-cubic-inch V8's power was increased to 315 hp. All models featured a new front clip. A flatter hood, re-shaped front fenders, new headlight buckets, new egg crate grille with large Thunderbird emblem, new bumper guards, a single bumper bar, and painted roll pan replaced the previous two model year's two-piece front bumper. The rear taillights were revised, now a 3 piece unit going the full width across the rear, the backup light now located in the center section replaced the formerly rear roll pan mounted lamps. A new Town Hardtop model was offered, featured a roof with blind quarter panels for a more 'formal' look (at the cost of rear visibility). The Landau was replaced by the blind quarter formal roofed Town Landau, which retained the previous model's padded roof and landau S-bars. It became by far the best-selling model, accounting for 35,105 units of the 1966 model year's 69,176 units sold. The transmission used on early build 390 V8 equipped T-Birds was the Cruise-O-Matic MX, however late build 390 and all 428 V8 equipped T-Birds had the new C6 3 speed automatic installed We Sell and Ship Worldwide This Baby is Priced to Sell !!
