Vehicle Description
What do you get when you combine the classic aesthetics of one of
the world's pre-eminent collector cars with choice modifications
that are both intensive and timeless? Well, you get a dashing
custom that's just as comfortable being a head-turning street rod
as it is being a high-octane Long Hauler! Mixing the universal
appeal of all-American style with road going prowess that's
afforded by only the best modern hardware, this handsome Chevy is
cool, clean and ready to rock and roll. And if you're a cultured
enthusiast who's looking for something that's nice enough to drive
AND show, it's some of the best metal your money can buy!
THE LOOK THAT GETS LOOKS
Reflecting enticing red two-stage that virtually glows, this sweet
Bel Air is the product of a detailed, ground-up build that
conquered the American Tri-Five Association's Tri-Five Nationals,
stormed the National Muscle Car Association Nationals and cleaned
house for half a decade on the Super Chevy show circuit. That's 16
awards from three prominent organizations in the span of just five
short years - Yes, it IS that nice! The car's vivid aesthetics come
to life with a smoothed bumper, which guards a polished grille and
traditional halogen headlights. At the top of that grille, a nosed
and peaked hood points at a smoked greenhouse that's cleared by
electric RainGear wipers. Those blades join stainless frames to
melt into a monochromatic profile that's garnished with factory
door handles, a polished mirror and factory Speed Spears. And at
the back of the car, a decked and filled trunk shades a guarded,
wagon-style bumper between chrome-trimmed LED taillights.
THE GO THAT GETS GONE
Pop this tri-five's billet-lined hood and you'll find 350 cubic
inches of proven Chevrolet Performance crate engine that was
sourced, turnkey, from Summit Racing Equipment. At the top of that
polished mill, a custom air cleaner twists oxygen through a 600cfm
Edelbrock EnduraShine 4-barrel that's finished with a quality Lokar
linkage and a convenient electric choke. That carb floods a bright
Edelbrock EnduraShine intake, which feeds spry Vortec heads that
are finished with stamped rocker arms and hydraulic lifters. A
nodular crank works well with powdered rods, a hydraulic cam and
dished pistons. At the back of that cam, a hot MSD distributor
sequences fire between a reliable MSD coil and loomed MSD Super
Conductor plug wires. Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine
components turn a polished water pump between a polished AC
compressor and a polished alternator. Exhaust exits through coated
shorty headers. A bowtie-capped Griffin radiator hangs a polished
expansion tank and dual SPAL puller fans in a custom core support.
Show worthy detailing includes trick dipsticks, dressed hoses,
polished tanks and polished valve covers with Chevy-themed
breathers. And the 4-bolt block rolls in a smoothed and
body-matched engine bay that's trimmed with polished Billet
Specialties hood supports.
FANCY AND FUNCTIONAL
Park this sedan on a lift and you'll find solid floors that, along
with a factory California frame, sport clean, Satin Black
aesthetics. At the center of those boxed bones, a cooled 700R4
4-speed, trimmed with a polished TCI pan, twists a polished
driveshaft that's threaded to a tough Currie 9-inch. That polished
pumpkin pushes a traditional Bel Air rear-clip that's finished with
polished springs, a polished sway bar, polished lowering blocks and
spry Edelbrock shocks. Modern power rack-and-pinion steering pivots
amid a traditional independent front-half that's finished with
polished control arms, a polished sway bar and modern coil-overs. A
polished brake booster joins a polished master cylinder to jolt
polished Wilwood calipers, which squeeze 12-inch drilled and
slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers feed stainless pipes,
which center an H-shaped crossover in front of polished MagnaFlow
mufflers and polished stainless tips. The aforementioned carburetor
drains a custom, highly polished fuel tank. All that mechanical
goodness rolls on polished Billet Specialties Rails, which lap
235/45R17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 275/55R20 Goodyear
Eagle Sports. And cool details include braided lines, polished
crossmembers, bowtie-branded stem caps and a quality Powermaster XS
Torque Starter.
CUSTOM AND COMFORTABLE
Climb inside this razor-sharp Chevrolet and you'll find a fully
custom interior that features dramatic style and great looking
trim. Stitched in soft leather, the car's broad split bench
reclines for the comfort of the driver and front passenger. A
body-matched dash fashions billet, bowtie-branded trim around
classy Classic Instruments telemetry and cool air conditioning.
Beneath that ledge, plush carpet frames billet pedals on its way to
textured side panels that hang between billet handles and quick
power windows. A billet rearview mirror reflects a sculpted
headliner, which backs discreet Custom Autosound audio. The driver
spins a polished and half-wrapped wheel around a polished, tilting
column. And a custom-upholstered trunk hides the car's relocated
battery.
A nicely finished classic that was built to be driven AND seen,
this slick Chevy mixes a mild street rod demeanor with simply
awesome curb appeal. Looking for a cool cruiser that's guaranteed
to draw a crowd wherever you go? Your search is officially over.
