sense of identity, for which it is still aptly known today. €"
MustangSpecs.com The website went on: After three years in its
lightweight, compact form, the Mustang was redesigned to present a
larger, more robust appearance for the 1967 model year. This was a
fact that applied to all Shelby derived Mustangs as well. In its
new form, the 1967 Shelby GT350 carried a hulking 'broad in the
shoulders' appearance, which looked noticeably more aggressive than
cars from the prior two years of production. Of all Shelby series
Mustangs, the 1967 GT350 is perhaps the most easily recognizable,
as its aggressive styling exuded a look of unabated performance.
The redesigned GT350 now sported extended front and rear fascia, as
well as an extended fiberglass hood. The GT350 was also fitted with
two 7-inch driving lights, located at each end of its grille,
though some cars were actually delivered with these lights
positioned close together toward the center of the GT350's grille.
Offered here is an extremely impressive tribute to the iconic 1967
Shelby Mustang GT350 by the highly respected technicians and
builders at MotorCity Grind of Royal Oak, Michigan. The car has
traveled just 323 miles since the work was completed in April of
this year. (A full listing of the car's upgraded and traditional
features appears nearby.) From its perfectly executed Brittany
Blue, white-striped exterior, to comfort upgrades including air
conditioning, power from a 408-cubic-inch V8, upgraded suspension,
and a host of other present-day additions, this beautifully
resto-modded example is simultaneously true to the historic model
while offering substantially improved performance, reliability,
safety, handling, and comfort fit for everyday use. Who says you
can't have it all? The exterior paint and trim is simply
outstanding. The iconic metallic blue color and white-stripe
presentation is flawlessly executed. (To best assess the quality of
the paint and trim finishes, be sure to view the close-up
photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) All factory
Shelby badging is properly in place and in as-new condition. All
correct body panels-including the fiberglass hood, side air
intakes, properly notched rear valance, and rear-deck-edge
spoiler-are in place. The stripes are perfectly aligned and
applied, notably on the lower-front and rear body panels. Chrome
hood pins-and indeed all chrome bright bits on the body-are
pristine. Lighting lenses-including on the front-center driving
lights and sequential taillights-are perfectly clear. No
original-equipment item or styling cue is missing. Getting the
smallest details right is an important criterion for a truly
faithful, highest-level tribute execution, and that standard is met
