Vehicle Description
This 1979 Chevrolet LUV Pickup has a terrific custom style inside
and out. But beneath the upgraded cruiser attitude is the hardy
heart that minitruck people love. That's why this is an awesome
total package offered for quite a nice price.
You can tell a ton of thought went into the paintwork. The copper
top half of this two-tone really catches your eye, and as you get
closer, you can see the glow has a unique blue metallic element
embedded in it. Many of the truck's natural lines are used to
divide the two-tone, but there's also a black pinstripe to make
sure it is properly defined. And the cream lower section has a nice
gloss that seems to emphasize the smooth panels on this pickup. And
we love how the two colors are utilized to give contrasting
pinstriping on the hood and tailgate. There is some age in the
finish, and so we like how that reminds you of how vintage it all
is, but a professional detailing will likely restore the luster for
those who want a glossier exterior finish. We can understand why
you'd want to show this off. There are a ton of unique details,
like the custom smooth front end, custom flush rear roll pan
w/frenched license plate, simulated wood bed trim, and a nice set
of 18-inch polished alloys borrowed from a late-model Chevy.
The interior continues the custom style. The seats are detailed
two-tone brown and tan where the textured inserts match the piping.
And the door panels and full dash were done to match. You also have
nice cruiser features like the sliding rear glass, tinted windows,
and an AM/FM stereo with USB and Bluetooth. This was even a factory
A/C truck (it will need servicing to blow cold again.)
Under the hood is the correct 1.8-liter motor. It has been under
the right care and maintenance to fire up easily and continue to
run strong. This also has a four-speed manual transmission, power
brakes, front discs, and modern tires afforded by the wheel
upgrade. So you have the right combination of nimbleness and
control. These LUVs are great for a small block upgrade to have an
impressive lightweight sports truck. So we know there are plenty of
you thinking about all those V8 transplants. But it's also worth
noting what you get from day one. After all, the valve cover on the
motor reminds you that Chevy utilized the family connection with
Isuzu to bring over and re-badge this as the LUV. So you've got a
custom look inside and out, but the heart is stock. And Isuzu has
earned a nearly bulletproof reputation for its trucks by enduring
in countries where they have few tools and even fewer paved
roads.
It's hard not to love this LUV when there have been so many
investments to make it this distinct. So don't miss this affordable
custom. Call now!
