A rare survivor, early Ford Convertible, with period patina worn
paint and well used interior, make this mechanically updated car a
real treat to drive and own.
This beautiful convertible's 24-stud, 221 CI Flathead V8 (French
Block) was rebuilt 2 years ago by H&H Flatheads in California.
It was bored out to 3 5/16" with a 4" stroke and mild cam. The
convertible top is new and the electrical system was upgraded to 12
volt. The stereo has Bluetooth.
The 3-speed manual transmission features a column mounted shifter,
marking the first time in Ford's history that Fords had a "3 on the
tree" shifter as opposed to the floor mounted shifters of previous
years.
The 1940 Ford Deluxe was designed by Eugene Gregorie and is truly
iconic. The deluxe featured elevated trim and a conservative Art
Deco design.
