1993 BMW 850Ci - 5.0L V12 - Sterling Silver Metallic - Quad Tip
Exhaust - Classic BMW Coupe (Please note: If you happen to be

Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many

power, stunning good looks €" Rich Ceppos, Car and Driver, June
1991 Car and Driver's competitor, Motor Trend, enumerated many of
the 850's appealing traits: The 850i* was a technological showcase,
boasting cutting-edge luxury features such as remote keyless entry,
dual-zone climate control, a power tilt-and-telescope steering
wheel, a twelve-speaker stereo, and windows that automatically
closed at high speeds. An active five-link rear suspension helped
steer the 850i at the limit, and an early form of electronic
stability control helped keep the big coupe on course. Under the
hood, an aluminum-block, 5.0-liter V-12 used the industry's only
drive-by-wire electronic throttles and was attached to one of the
world's first six-speed manual transmissions. (*Note: the 850ci
designation-the c added for coupe-was first introduced on otherwise
unchanged 1993 models.) Offered here is a 1993 BMW 850ci in
Sterling Silver Metallic over gray. The car's current odometer
reading is 95,147 miles, fewer than 4,000 miles per-year on average
since new. The BMW's outstanding condition is a tribute to the care
and pride of its prior owners, and a real benefit to its next
owner. The Sterling Silver Metallic exterior paint looks as though
the E31-series coupe just left the BMW factory: uniform, glossy,
unfaded, and very appealing. The color was a perfect, timeless
choice on the luxury-coupe model. The bespoke boxed fenders in
particular are highlighted by the color. Body-color panels on the
prop-up headlights are pristine. There are no dings, dents, scrapes
or other damage on any sheet metal or other body panel. (To best
assess the quality of the paint and trim finishes, be sure to view
the close-up photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.)
Black trim on the door handles, rear fascia, body-side strip, front
chin spoiler, grille inserts, quad exhaust tips, and window
surrounds is similarly fresh-looking and well-maintained. The
tastefully limited factory badging-a BMW-logo emblem in front and
back, and the 850ci model designation on the rear deck-remain
properly mounted and in perfect condition. Cabin glass and all
lighting lenses are clear and free of damage, cracks, or fading.
Factory 5-(split)-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels are free of curb rash
and feature BMW-logo center caps as well as BMW's M (for
Motorsport) emblem. Federal® Super Steel 595 radial tires
(245/40ZR) are mounted. Inside, the car's almost showroom-new
presentation continues. Light-gray leather seat upholstery (in a
pleasing, broad-horizontal pattern) on the front and rear seats
(with armrests front and back) is clean and free of wear
indications or damage. Complementary door trim incorporates both
light and dark gray panels. Door-jamb step-over sills are
unscarred, another reliable indication of meticulous owner care.
Charcoal-colored premium cabin carpeting has been very
well-maintained. Behind the black, 4-spoke steering wheel, the
light-gray dash surrounds the black instrument cluster and driver
controls. Instrument graphic markings are sharp and unfaded. The
center stack houses HVAC controls and the factory radio forward of
the leather-capped shift-lever for the automatic transmission on
the console. Also on the console are power-window and seat-heating
controls. The car's trunk is clean with some discoloration of the
carpet noted due to light soiling. Under the fro
