Vehicle Description
It's great to find a 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle that's a real-deal
Malibu SS. But that's just the beginning of the appeal on this
hardtop. There have been solid investments to deliver awesome
upgrades like the added power, an overdrive transmission, an A/C
interior, and a terrific all-black style. It means you have a true
Super Sport that will truly impress.
The black paint is a color with a timeless feel. It's a modern
application, and so while the car is as dark as midnight, it also
loves to radiate in the noon sunshine. But it's more than just the
paint that has you excited. The chrome bumpers and trim give out
good shine, and the doors open and close with a confident action.
So this gives the right feeling of a thoughtfully restored classic.
As a true SS, the coupe also has a sporty side with details like
ribbed rockers, blackout rear panel, and SS grille. Plus, this one
tastefully adds some extra allure from later Super Sports, like the
raised hood with vent trim and Mag-style SS wheels. It reminds us
that this early first-generation Chevelle is the foundation for
Chevy's muscle car legacy.
The darkness continues inside, and so does the feeling of a solid
investment. The carpeting, door panels, headliner, and dash all
have a stock look but a much fresh feel. The bucket seats and a
center console are what you expect from a Super Sport, but you can
also see this one was upgraded for added comfort. That's why you
have a custom console that has a nice armrest, 12-volt outlet, and
is ready for you to add whatever modern stereo you like. You'll
slip behind the wood trim steering wheel, and everything from the
B&M ratchet shifter to the sun pro tach mounted on the steering
column give you the right tingle of performance. This is the kind
of car where you're going to want to roll down all the windows on
the pillarless hardtop and go for a drive. And since you have
cold-blowing R134a air conditioning, you can easily do it even on a
summer day.
Under the hood is a period-correct 327 cubic-inch V8. It's the
centerpiece for a clean and tidy look in the engine bay. But while
this one respects its history, it also wants to live up to its full
Super Sport heritage. So it has been upgraded with an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer RPM high rise
intake, HEI ignition, and powder coated long tube headers. You can
also see they have spent time on the fundamentals with good wires,
hoses, and belts, and the way it runs smoothly reaffirms that it's
a well-serviced motor. The transmission has been upgraded to a
700R4 four-speed automatic, and the overdrive adds to this
hardtop's anytime usability. You also get easy cruising features
like power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and sway bars
front & rear.
This is the Super Sport that looks as mean as midnight, but it has
been given all the right investments to be one of the nicest total
packages around. Call today!!!
