1979 Chevrolet K30 LBZ Duramax Swapped. Engine and transmission run standalone by Dmaxswap and Ken Wolkens. Fuel comes from new oversized Exergy Injectors and Injection Pump fed by an Airdog 165. Truck sounds AMAZING! Keeping the engine cool are an all aluminum Mishimoto LLY Cooling Stack. Engine is making outstanding power, tuned from DanvillePerfomance with DSP5 along with their in house 65mm Turbo. The transmission is beefed up with a Wherli Built trans and Billet convertor. The Atlas LowLow transfercase sets the drivetrain off just right. The frame has been fully boxed to handle the admonitional HP and Torque. The factory front Dana 60 sets under a set of 52" leaf springs swapped up front while the 2006 Duramax rear diff resides outback. Both axles equipped with 4.10 gears and ARB Air lockers along with ARB Air compressor to keep the diffs locked and the onboard air tank full. Front axle has a Torq Big Brake kit from a 2008 and up Dodge 1ton. PSC steering box, pump, remote reservoir and hydraulic assist. Crossover high steer with Chromoloy Hiems. Fox Resi shocks, Moose Offroad ladder bars and a set of helper bags finish off the underside. Bed is in LineX with a Suburban tank mounted underneath. Fuel door now houses jumper port. Batteries have been frame mounted. Overall lift is about 7" with Hostile 20x12s and a set of Toyo 35x13.50s. AMP power steps help you get in. Lots of powdercoat on the outside from SpunWeb Powdercoat. Paint code off a 71 Corvette - Steel Cities Grey. 2in cowl hood has been installed. Paint matched shell with custom rack makes this truck ready for any adventure. Black low profile toolbox also comes with the truck to give it a completely different look.
