2006 Audi A4 Avant Quattro on a website other than our Garage Kept
Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many
photographs of the car due to third-party website limitations. To
be sure you access all of the more than 145 photographs, as well as
a short start-up and walk-around video, and a link to the Audi A4's

best-looking of the new Audis - Car and Driver, 2006 Audi A4
review, December 2004 Tested in Arizona's Sonoran desert by the
journalists at the Driving.com web magazine, Audi's then-new 2006
A4 demonstrated it had a lot to offer. Their take? On its
mechanical underpinnings: More than its redesign, it's the new A4's
technologies and mechanicals that are being 'upped' to compete
against its compact-sized, premium-segment rivals.... On its power:
The larger motor, a naturally aspirated 3.1-litre, V6 that made its
debut in the new Audi A6 last fall, delivers 255 horsepower and 243
ft.-lb.. of torque at 3,250 rpm. On its performance: For everyday
driving, and through the twisting, wicked turns of Tucson's Saguaro
National Park, the four-banger is more than spirited. The FSI
technology lessens the amount of throttle required to accelerate -
just a tap of the foot propels the A4. On its Tiptronic®
transmission: Though it's rare that I opt for an automatic, I
easily caved in to the ways of the six-speed auto (equipped with
Tiptronic manual-shifting mode). On the interior: Audi's interiors
have long been an industry favorite in quality and fit and finish -
not much has changed. For 2006, the steering wheel design mimics
the shape of the grille, and dual cup holders get updated. That's a
lot to like. Offered here is a 2006 Audi A4 Quattro Avant in Dakar
Beige Metallic over beige. Sold new at Maple Hill Audi in
Kalamazoo, Michigan where it has been owned since by the same
individual, the A4's odometer reads 74,112 miles. That's fewer than
5,000 miles per-year on average since new. The car is very
well-equipped including Navigation Plus, Technology Package,
Premium Package, Audio Package, and Cold Weather Package among
other options. (Please see the included factory window
sticker---shown in the photo gallery--for a full list of standard
and optional features.) The exterior metallic paint on this A4
Avant (Audispeak for station wagon) is in exceptionally
well-maintained condition. Gloss, color, and even application;
virtually showroom-new in appearance. Body panels-including the
lower front valance and the tailgate-are free of dings, dents,
scuffs, or other damage. Chrome and brushed-metal body trim-on the
window surrounds, grille, and roof rails-has been properly
cared-for and retains original condition. (To best assess the
quality of the paint and trim finishes, be sure to view the
close-up photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) Cabin
glass (including on the power sunroof) and all lighting lenses are
pristine, free of cracks, fading or other damage. Factory
5-(split-)spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels with Audi-logo center caps
are mounted with Continental® 235/45 all-season tires.
(Delamination is noted on wheels and center caps.) All factory
badging-including 4-rings logo emblems front and rear, and model
and engine designations on the tailgate-remains properly in place.
Inside, Audi's well-deserved reputation for quality materials and
industry-leading fit and finish is on display everywhere. Beige
leather seat upholstery is clean and free of any damage. Matching
door trim is similarly well-preserved. Genuine burled-wood trim, on
the console, dash, and door trim is especially pleasing and free of
damage. A darker brown steering wheel frame
