This 1959 Chevrolet Apache pickup is exactly what's popular today.
It combines the appeal of a barn find appearance with a V8 upgrade,
overdrive transmission, and a smooth cruiser ride. And best of all,
this is offered right now for quite a nice price.
You might have big plans for this truck, but we already like the
way it looks right now. After all, it has the earned look of a shop
truck that spent decades hauling cars and parts out to the
dragstrip. And if you want to write the name of your own garage on
the side (real or just for fun,) and easy whitewash on the doors
will look right at home here. The body has the full patina style,
but it also has some secretly rewarding style with the complete
trim, including arrowhead Apache callouts on the fenders. And
everything from the real lumber of the truck bed to the red wheels
on the lowered suspension help give this the right kind of
attitude.
The interior keeps the shop truck idea going with the kind of
updates you might see when they guys had a few extra minutes and
access to a few interesting parts. The seat is now a comfy velour
with a button-top presentation. And the door inserts and headliner
were done to match. It's nothing too fancy, but certainly adding to
the comfort and fun. You also may be surprised to see a much more
modern stereo with an AM/FM/CD touchscreen infotainment unit
w/Bluetooth. It's even built to be a better cruiser with a
wood-rimmed chrome steering wheel mounted on a tilt column, and the
gauge package is a hint at what is really underneath the skin.
The engine bay has been updated with a 4.3-liter V8 borrowed from a
1994 Chevrolet Caprice. So you get to keep the power in the Chevy
family, but now it's a famous small block that even has fuel
injection. In this much swapping, it's unclear if the mileage on
the odometer represents any part of the truck, but we do know it's
a clean install that fires up and runs with the hardy nature you
want in a FI small block. The Caprice gave more than just its
motor, and that's the heart of the appeal here. Features like a
four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, power steering,
power brakes, front discs, and a comfortable car-like ride make
this patina pickup quite a nice cruiser.
Here's a complete and desirable Apache that doesn't need anything
more added to grab serious attention. This one is already one cool
ride, and so the affordable price just makes this deal so much
sweeter. Don't miss out, call today!
