Vehicle Description
The first thing you notice about this 1928 Ford Roadster is that
awesome stance from the big rear tires that makes this a true V8
hot rod. But as you dig a little deeper, you start to see
distinguishing details, like the fully independent suspension,
four-wheel disc brakes, and removable top that show you this one is
also an extra thoughtful build.
The fire engine red is the right mix of aggression and high-gloss
quality. The paint also makes a nice canvas for the palm tree
graphics package along the sides and the dolphins on the rear.
There's even custom pinstriping on the color-matched chassis. So
they made sure that there's always plenty of details to look at.
This is a fiberglass body, and so it makes for the right
lightweight style with the deleted fenders and open engine bay of
this roadster. And that performance attitude continues with the big
dual exhaust tips, Outlaw-style racing wheels, and the big tire
setup that gives this the awesome forward-leaning stance. But
what's really exceptional on this machine are the little extras you
get. It's why this one looks so good as an open-top roadster as it
does with the canvas-covered hardtop in place.
The interior continues the thoughtful style with a well-done
tobacco and cream two-tone. The side panels and carpet piping
introduce the two colors, and the seat intertwines the two. The
trunk was even fully done to match. This has good features like
full carpeting, seatbelts, and a dash ready for you to install the
modern radio of your choice. It's built to be a better driver, too,
with a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a tilt column, a Lokar-style
floor shifter, a three-speed automatic transmission, and a dash
dominated by classic-style readouts.
The engine is on display for the world to see, and so they made
sure it was worth showcasing with the polished valve covers, engine
block done in an exterior red, and a matching Cadillac-style air
grabber. This 327 V8 was built for hot rod duty with an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, upgraded intake, and shorty headers feeding
the dual exhaust. The undercarriage photos show great suspension
features like a strong fully boxed frame. Plus, you have Heidts
Mustang II style front ends and a Jaguar rear for a fully
independent suspension. In fact, that rear is quite special because
it features both a double set of coilovers as well as inboard
brakes for the four-wheel discs.
