Vehicle Description
This 1957 MG MGA is the quintessential fun British roadster that
comes in a great color combo and is nicely documented. It's the
kind of classic that's ideal when looking for one classic that you
can collect, drive, and proudly park on a show field.
There are a few body styles out there that make you say "Wow!" from
the moment they come into view, and the MGA is in that very select
class. The correct Glacier Blue paint was given a high quality, and
there was a large overall investment in the restoration. That's how
you get such a glossy presentation on such well-done sheet metal.
So the sunlight loves to radiate off the body as it showcases what
makes the MGA an icon. It's in the long flowing fenders that help
create the low-cut doorline, the aggressive rear fenders that kick
up for the wheels, and the unmistakably smooth European trunk
(boot) design. There's shining brightwork everywhere from the curvy
chrome bumpers to the waterfall grille. Plus, wire wheels with
knock-off hubs were an option from the factory, and it just seems
like a must-have to complete the iconic appearance.
The British have always excelled at color combinations, and this
interior proves it. The black is a tasteful but distinct contrast
to the exterior blue and dash. Plus, the blue piping on the seats
is a masterstroke of coordination with the gray body beading. So
you have supple leather upholstery, newer carpeting, and
interesting details, like the classic heater that's there for
display. This has the best of classic motoring with a banjo-style
sports steering wheel, clear British Jaeger gauges, and the crisp
action of the gearstick. It's true purist motoring that will have
you wanting to go for a drive every sunny day. And if you do ever
get caught in the rain, the folding roof and side curtains are much
more substantial than previous modes to keep you dry for the drive
home. And for those sporting days, you have a full racing tonneau.
It all fits in the extra tidy trunk.
The engine bay has a show-ready style that comes for a proper
investment. The bold red block looks great against the exterior
blue, and everyone loves the detailed style of the twin SU carbs.
And not only will this tidy look get plenty of attention, but it
also makes it easy to see the body tag and matching motor tag. The
1500cc B-series motor is a robust powerplant. This was a popular
motor in Europe, and parts are still easy to find and relatively
inexpensive. And when a car is maintained to look this good, it
also is kept correctly to be a strong runner. The undercarriage
photos prove there was a proper investment over every inch of this
car during its restoration. It also makes for a car you can
confidently enjoy. And the four-speed manual gearbox combines with
the legendary nimble steering to really let you feel why these are
legendary back road roadsters.
This is a true driver's MGA, but like any good Brit, it also comes
with pedigree. There is a certificate from the British Motor
Industry Heritage Trust documenting this car's early build distinct
color as well as other documentation. Beautiful, tasteful, and a
superior experience behind the wheel to even its siblings, this MGA
is an amazing classic offered at a price that will have it driving
out of our showroom quickly. Call today!!!
