Vehicle Description

Want to kick your fall off in a unique, super slick cruiser that drops jaws and sprains necks? You can always buy a nice Chevy - Like everyone else... You COULD find a cool old Dodge and raise a few eyebrows... Or, you can call RK Motors Charlotte and snatch up this sweet '56 Ford Customline! Backing outstanding aesthetics with 390 cubic inches of proven Ford power, this svelte sedan packs timeless custom appeal in a detailed, fully sorted restoration. And if you're looking for a fun weekend warrior that mixes lasting style with invigorating performance, it's just the good time you've been waiting for!

CUSTOM BY DEFAULT

Treated to a ground-up, professional restoration that was completed by someone who definitely knew their way around niche Fords, this classy custom was methodically massaged back to flashy fifties glory. After much detailing and finesse, the car's whittled and solid profile stacked Metallic Burgundy two-stage under a glossy layer of clear. At the front of that shine, a smoothed bumper mimics polished parking lamps and a chromed grille, which parallels a nosed hood and traditional halogen headlights. Those torches lead polished trim spears, which split sculpted quarters, shaved doors and bold, "V8" branded fenders. Dark-tint glass sits pretty behind bright wipers and professionally polished frames. And at the back of the car, a second smoothed bumper splits a decked trunk, polished exhaust tips and sweet Blue Dot Taillights.

POWER BY FORD

In some enthusiast's minds, there's nothing worse than finding a stylish Ford hot rod only to tilt the hood and discover something akin to a generic Chevrolet small block. Well, fear not purists, because this blue oval bombshell features 390 cubic inches of proven FE V8 that's been graced with a dynamic duo of octane snorting Edelbrock 4-barrels! Those carbs, wired to an electric choke and a small Mr. gasket pressure gauge, surf a polished Edelbrock intake under a polished Edelbrock air cleaner. That plane pushes air and fossils through tough Ford heads, which tilt polished valve covers between one Edelbrock breather, one Ford Racing breather and a slick Metallic Burgundy block. At the front of those heads, a hot Mallory coil fires a hot Mallory Comp S/S distributor, which sequences sparks through loomed Taylor ThunderVolt wires. Billet pullies spin a polished Edelbrock water pump between a polished alternator, polished timing components and a polished power steering pump. Cooling comes courtesy of a polished aluminum radiator, which balances a trick Mr. Gasket ThermoCap between spry SPAL pullers, a polished expansion tank and corrugated tubes. Spent gases fall through traditional iron exhaust manifolds. And this Ford's tweaked, Metallic Burgundy engine bay is detailed with cool items like trick sticks, braided lines, trick spinners, coated supports and a coated Edelbrock fuel pump.

BETTERING TRADITION

Throw this razor-sharp Ford on a lift and you'll find a sturdy factory chassis that mixes traditional character with focused upgrades. Shifts come courtesy of a choice Toploader 4-speed that was professionally overhauled during the car's detailed restoration. Motivation is provided by a familiar Ford 9-inch that's finished with a posi-traction differential and smooth, 3.25 gears. Turns come courtesy of power-assisted steering. A polished booster joins a polished master cylinder to jolt a traditional combination of discs and drums. The engine keeps roaring thanks to rowdy Flowmaster mufflers. The odometer keeps turning thanks to Rocket Racing Rocket Fuels, which twist 195/65R15 Continental Conti Pro Contacts in front of 235/55R17 Continental Conti Pro Contacts. And the car's factory suspension has been carefully lowered and upgraded with beefy traction bars.

CUSTOM BY DEFINITION

Pop this cool classic's doors and you'll find a tasteful custom interior that was professionally installed during the car's detailed restoration. Front and center, broad, leather-wrapped buckets join a standard, leather-wrapped bench on a sea of stylish, body-matched carpet. Those thrones, sporting full power adjustment for the car's driver and front passenger, frame a custom console that's fashioned around convenient controls for Vintage Air conditioning and a short Hurst shifter. A painted dash floats a polished instrument panel between polished pedals and crisp Dolphin telemetry. Striped side panels front modern power windows. The driver spins a polished and wood-rimmed steering wheel around a tilting Flaming River column that's spiced with a MQQN Knee Knocker Tach. A modern Kenwood head unit bumps a quartet of BOSS speakers. And a custom upholstered trunk doubles as a cool trophy display.

No doubt this exceptionally clean Customline is one of the coolest cruisers on the planet! It offers the best of both worlds: a fully restored classic that's attainable at a fraction of its build cost, and a unique hot rod that looks good and runs great.
