Vehicle Description
You probably were just attracted to this 1967 Dodge Dart because
you thought it looked cool and was priced right. Little did you
know that this two-door has a powerful big block V8 and
four-on-the-floor to maximize the fun.
The wide front end and big chrome bumpers give the Dart an imposing
look that's perfect for muscle car upgrades. But this one doesn't
try to announce its power. Instead, you get to appreciate the
classic clean lines of the body. And you can pick up on nice
details, like how the wide grille extends beyond the headlights and
the rear glass curves inward. It's a terrific sleeper where there
really isn't anything to signal the upgrade underneath the skin. It
just looks stock, right down to the classic tan color-matched steel
wheels with dog dish hub caps. In fact, the only piece that
announces that this is a big power Mopar is if people pick up on
the hint of stance from larger/wider rear tires.
Inside is a highly correct interior that continues inconspicuous
tan style. You'll even appreciate the little classic details, like
the texture of the door panels and the working dome lights. There
are two wide rows of bench seats that look like they have been
recently recovered, and so you can happily offer friends and family
a ride. But the best treats are reserved just for the driver. You
get the original thin/grippy steering wheel, which gives you a
clear view of the artful factory gauges, as well as the added large
tach. Plus, with auxiliary readouts under the dash and shifter
sticking out of the floor, you know there's something special under
the hood before you even twist the key and hear it growl.
The tidy inner walls of the engine bay really let you showcase the
big block upgrade. You had to order something pretty special in '67
to get a Dart with a 383 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. Those GTS
cars were a lot more boisterous on the outside and also didn't get
as hot a version as the one you now have here. This big V8 inhales
deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and a Weiand intake. It
gives this one extra power and a great rumble out of the Flowmaster
dual exhaust. You have full control over this V8 and its thunderous
soundtrack thanks to a four-speed manual transmission.
The sale comes complete with the dealer invoice, original warranty
card, receipts, and owner's manual. Here's a great classic body
style with some great driving enhancements, and best of all, it's
offered for quite an obtainable price. So don't miss your chance,
