Vehicle Description
This is how to instantly stand out in a crowd in all the right
ways. Not many people have a 1940 Nash LaFayette, and you'll likely
never see one as well built like this one ever again. With a sleek
style, leather-lined A/C interior, upgraded suspension, and fresh
crate V8, it takes the classic style and gives you a ton of cruiser
appeal.
The pointed nose, long hood, and flowing fenders are what give this
an instant distinction. Plus, that big chrome front end catches
everyone's eye with the vertical slats contrasted in the center
with the tall row of horizontal brightwork. And that crease in the
middle of the sleek rear looks like it was inspired by a Bugatti.
So this really does have a premium look just from what the factory
offered. You can see these body details so well because there was
extra time and care in the sheet metal when restoring this car.
Then they laid a modern champagne paint over it with plenty of
metallic to make the paint radiate. As you look over the full
package, the sport mirrors, tinted windows, and wide exhaust tips
hint at the upgrades within. And those polished Foose wheels can't
help but make this classic look sporty with their 17/18-inch
front/rear stance.
Open the door to a full custom interior. Nash may have made
comfortable cars back in the day, but this takes it to a whole new
level. You now have individual bucket seats up front and a plush
rear bench all finished in supple leather. You've got great
features, like an AM/FM/CD stereo, a cup holder center console, and
cold-blowing air conditioning. And there's a nice feeling in the
fundamentals, like the way the doors close and the condition of the
weather-stripping. It all makes for a great cruiser, and you know
that because the driver takes priority. Your seat power adjusts to
the ideal position. The upgraded steering wheel still has the Nash
logo in the center, and it's mounted on a polished tilt column.
This gives you a full view of the crisp Classic Instruments gauge
package.
You're going to love showing off the engine bay with its smooth
color-matched inner walls. Plus, details like the ridges of the air
grabber and Nash tags on the valve covers also coordinate. This is
a polished and extra tidy presentation of a 350 cubic-inch crate
motor that was installed in 2020. While these are powerful right
out of the box, this one also inhales deeply with a Weber
four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power as shorty
headers feed the dual exhaust. You'll also spot the right
supporting component, like an aluminum radiator, an electric fan,
upgraded pulleys, and steel braided lines. As you look underneath
the car, you'll spot good driving features like a Mustang II style
front end with newer coil springs, and there's a sway bar in the
rear. Add in a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering,
power brakes, and front discs, and you've got a good all-around
cruiser.
This is the distinct Nash that has been upgraded to be a
strong-running easy-cruising custom. So you just know it's going to
