1961 Corvettes were technically still part of the first generation of “C1” or first-generation solid axle Corvettes. They were substantially changed, however, from the 1956 cars. The grille “teeth” were eliminated and there was a completely different rear end with four round taillights that actually carried over into the allnew’63 Sting Ray design, as did the substitution of an alternator instead of a generator.
RB Collection is pleased to offer this attractive 1961 Chevrolet Corvette. This example is a desirable model, equipped with the 283/270 hp engine and floor-shift 4-speed manual transmission.
The car was the beneficiary of an old restoration and the desirable Jewel Blue, one year color, presenting in excellent condition with no details to be mentioned. Exterior trim and bright work are all in exceptionally good order with excellent chrome bumpers and bright body trim. The Black interior complements the exterior extremely well, also the vehicle door, quarter panels, dash and top all present themselves in pristine condition.
The engine runs smoothly, while showcasing its power. The chassis and undercarriage are in incredibly good order as well; clean, tidy, and solid with no corrosion.
This example is a real joy to drive, suitable for casual show and cruise nights. It has seen limited use in the last decade. Our in-house experts have thoroughly inspected the vehicle in preparation for daily enjoyment.
